Barge that stopped traffic

Tv crew was funny WJTV reporter could not get anything right.Ninja had to start over like 6-8 times.Kept messing up and then just quit trying and they left bout 3 mins before that bad boy started breaking up, with some carzy booty sounds as it sank and the tops started popping and breaking...

thats in vicksburg i assume.

that is one of the worst places in the MS river. its a perfect storm of current, bend in river, tributary entering main river, and bridge pilings.

:shock: i didn't know it was cross-ways...and sunk! only reports i heard was that a barge had bumped the pylon and they were inspecting it to make sure it was safe for road traffic. :shock: one of the few times the media didn't capitalize on "wow" factor.

Think that one had grain it was covered the coal barges dont have tops....catfish got some serious feed going on now....TV crew should have stayed put for 5 mins would have had some great video

We had one full of corn sink up river side of a dike a few years back and there was some kind of catfish caught.

Can you imagine how that Tug Pilot felt as he watched his payload sink?!?! That's got to be a stressful occupation.

There was or still is a crane that sank there when they built Ameristar. That spot has bad luck.

Hearing that the Coast Guard is going to close I20 bridge today for further inspection...if you are headed that way, be prepared to detour...
