Re: wood call ?
THATS the cool thing about calls brotha...the're all the same thing, but, they are all a little different. I like em all I reckon, just some a little more than others. I got an old wooden call I wouldnt take $500 for...coco's are purdy and rich

Re: wood call ?
Wood, to me, is the only material a duck call should be made of.
The odder, the more dramatic the wood grain, the better.
So, I guess what I am saying is, don't limit your self.
And co-co is pretty sweet.
But, that's just me.

Looking for 2 duck calls from Dominic Serio of Greenwood (ones for Novacaine)

Re: wood call ?
I like and use a Bois d' Arc call made from the burried end of a 200 year old fence post. Grain is raised enough to prevent sticking and I like the sound of it. All a matter of preference in the long run. A lot of wood is prettier, but I suscribe from the "If it ain't broke, don't fix it" oldschool of hunting. True, acrylic calls are probably better for durability and I have plenty but keep going with what I like best and so should you.
