It was 300 a load. The fragments are 1/2 rebar and I only picked up a 5 gallon bucket out of 4 loads. The rebar comes to the top and is no big deal.

Mudhog you had bad 610 to start with IMO ...been doin this stuff all my life and I can promise you if ya got good 610 there aint nothing better unless u form it up and pour concrete.....#57 has no binder and it will move on ya and you will be maintaining it as much or more than gravel.....

Granted this stuff is hard as concrete now, but I have nothing at the surface in the form of rocks. Seems all the big stuff settled down and the small stuff is at the top. I got a friend who this is happening to as well and he put way more limestone down than me and his driveway is much older.

We build all of our construction roads out of crushed concrete after we do the demo on a job, and they set up just as hard as concrete after you put them down and roll it with a smooth drum roller. That 35.75 a ton for 610 seems kinda steep to me. I was thinking more along the lines of about $18/ton is what I was buying it for delivered around Memphis a couple years ago. I would definitely stay away from regular ole road gravel though. Hard to find any worth a chit that's actually got some rock.
