Help....Best phone from Cellular South for an Idiot

Ok guys….I’m going to take the plunge today and get a new phone. All I have now is just talking (Don’t even pay for text messaging). But I am thinking of going all out with the new one. Main reason that I’m getting a new one is the internet service. I can only get dialup at the house and would like to have something faster so I said hey, why not just get one of those new phones and have internet everywhere. My question is what phone to get? I have no idea. I am with cellular south and would like to know some pros and cons of the phones out there. Kind of leaning toward the Hero or the Blackberry. Need to know things like, which one is the toughest, easiest…etc. I know that this has probably been discussed b4 but I would greatly appreciate any advice. Thanks

I have the Hero, have a blackberry too with ATT for my pimp business...

The hero is tough to figure out at first, but once you do it's pretty awesome..takes a while to get used to text message but if your not doing that now, it will be a normal learning experience I would think. I like the camera as well on the hero..pretty tough with a case.

Blackberry, going to be a little easier to use..much easier to type on with the full size keyboard (BB Curve not the pearl)..you can get an otterbox for the blackberry and really up the protection..battery lasts longer than the hero.

Overall I like the hero better but both are good choices.

Curve 8330 is one tough SOB when you put the Otter Box on it! Good phone in my opinion just clean track ball every now and then and get at least a 2G card for it to keep it from deleting things. You can use it as an ipod too.

Some of the 2G speeds are as slow or slower than dialup. My mother in law invested in a ATT wireless dongle for her laptop to replace dial up. That thing is just as slow if not slower than dial up was.

i got the tour 9630 for Christmas and really like it. it is a little smaller than my wife's curve, and fits in my pocket well with otterbox commuter protector.

My wife and I both got Hero's several months ago. I love mine. I had a blackberry pearl before and there is no comparison if you ask me.

Thanks guys for all the input..went with the Hero and like it alot for sure. Lots to learn for a simple person like me. I just hope I dont break it. Went ahead and got the otterbox for it. Yall all had such great things to say about them. Anyway Cellular South in Magee already had them on the shelf...Thanks agian
