wood advice
alright i am thinking about getting a shortbarrell soon and cant decide what wood i want. im in between cocobola and bocote. let me hear what yall think
Re: wood advice
cocobolo is a more dense wood the bocote. which will give you a little crisper sound, but i really like the way a bocote sounds.
Re: wood advice

You'll have less swelling issues with cocobolo. I love the rasp of bodock but hate the constant swelling issues caused by moisture/water.

Re: wood advice
i have a cocobolo daisy cutter and love it good crisp sound and doesn't swell much when blowing alot...think you would be happy with either though
Re: wood advice
I have had both woods and cocobolo feels heavier and more soilid to me and it is a little more crisp.

Re: wood advice
Oddly, cocobola is one of my favorite woods to turn....but then again I don't break out (yet) and i love the density and oily shavings......
