What brand? If its a yamaha or OMC(johnson/evinrude) take it to RJ's behind Duncan Marine on old Canton Rd in Brandon. By far the best in the state on the 3 brands mentioned. Very fast turn around as well

im not really sure, the motor was given to me. but i think water somehow has gotten into the engine because after i tried to start it a few times i took the spark plug out and it had some white liquid on it. any ideas on what this could be? hopefully not to major of a fix but it doesnt look good :?

I assume its a 4 stroke. If so and water is present in the spark plug hole you have a block or head issue.

Well I'll be damned!

You could have won a bet if you would have gone about that a little differently. :) I have never seen or heard of a 2 stroke honda.

Got a similar problem with a Mercury 9.9. Any advice on where to take it?
