Prayers sent for the 'old Air Force vet. Thank him for his service to both our nation and this state as a GW. My sisterinlaw had one lung removed because of cancer about 3 years ago. She is still with us. I know they can do something they can do for this fine warrior and protector of our freedoms!

Prayers sent. I know exactly how you feel. Had the same thing happen to me when my Dad was diagnosed with Cirrous juist over two years ago. Spend as much time with him as you can.

Stay strong for him. It is difficult to see our parents go through serious health issues. Been there, done that.

Spend as much time with him as possible. You will never regret it...
Sometimes you just have to close your eyes, count to ten, take a deep breath and remind yourself that you wouldn't look good in prison stripes... and just smile at that dumbass and walk away.

Realizing the mortality of a parent is hard to do - I was very shaken by my fathers serious illness and near death a couple of years ago.
