Where would I hide my 4-wheeler? Man, I don't want to think about walking out into one of those big ole fields at my age. It was bad work when I was a youngster!

I have had good luck hunting sheet water more than dry field hunting...nasty work! Canada usually has frozen ground to hunt on.

Anat., could you do what you do now if you had to walk in gumbo to do it?

By the way, don't hunt close to any public roads or some idiot will take a pop at you with a 30-06!

Dry hunting? Probably not. With the dry fall, the farmers have plowed under and rowed up just about every inch of the delta (it seems).

I hate a dry fall...too much tractor work.

If we don't get some rain we'll all be dry hunting. In a bind you could always scrap up some big blue FEMA tarps and lay that out, then put some deeks on it and pretend your on water.

4dawgma,

I'm not your Mom (or trying to be), but what the heck were you doing drinking a beer while hunting????? Maybe a lot folks do this, but not anyone I ever hunt with. If folks want to grab a drink after the hunt, then that is fine, but I don't want anyone swinging a gun next to me if they are or have been drinking. That sounds like a good way to get shot or get someone else shot.

What does everyone else think about this? :?:
