Re: M and P Shield....
I have one in a 40S&W. Carries well and is a good gun. The 40 is really snappy so I would avoid that one especially if this is for a lady or someone with not much hand strength.. I also have the Glock 43, XDS 9, and Ruger LC9S.
I don't carry them anymore due to limited capacity, but If I was going to choose a single stack 9mm I would probably go with the Shield or the Ruger.

Have the shield in 9mm and would highly recommend it. If you go with the Ruger make sure it is the LC9S and not the original LC9

Got a .40 shield from cwink a few weeks ago. I like it for a carry gun. I chose it because I had been using the .40c and like it and the have the same functionality with a thinner profile.

My EDC gun is a Shield 9mm in a cross breed mini clip. It is slimmer and lighter than my Glock 27 40cal. and it hides easily. And I can shoot it well for a small frame pistol. I like it alot.
Looking for 2 duck calls from Dominic Serio of Greenwood (ones for Novacaine)

Another vote for the shield as a EDC. I have it in the .40 as well.

I carry mine everyday as well. I really like it. I had a Taurus slim stolen and liked it for the price. I shot it well but always said I would get a Shield 9mm if something happened to the Taurus. The Taurus was stolen in a vehicle theft and I purchased the Shield. If something happens to this Shield, I will be back in line to grab another Shield in 9mm. I could not ask for a better EDC.
Re: M and P Shield....
Yep. I have the Shield .40. I use a Versacarry inside the waistband clip holster. It hides very well.

Good gun but lately I prefer the Glock 43 when I have to go to a single stack. I think I bought the first Shield in 40sw that was sold in Greenwood. I've never had a lick of trouble with it, just went to 9mm for a couple extra rounds when carrying an already small gun.

Yes, but once you draw you have to "undress" to holster.

Had a shield in 9mm that carried well in some ways - it's flatter than my G26 but longer and taller. For me with my short waisted 5'-8 frame, the 26 hides better and I shoot the G better so I gave the shield to my daughter. She loves it
