Ask DS: Advice on a First Aid kit for the vehicle

Postby Smoke68 » Mon Mar 30, 2015 11:11 pm

This is especially for ER doctors and EMTs that may be out there. I'd like to get a couple of first aid kits to put in our vehicles. I've come up on wrecks before and had to improvise with paper towels and peroxide (had it for a gator hunt), but I'd like to be prepared at all times to be able to do the best I can in any given situation. What would you recommend as a good first aid kit to be carried in a vehicle 24/7?

Something like this would be a good all around setup.

If your going to assist people you don't know (or anyone for that matter), make sure you have nitrile gloves. I like the 14mil thick ones when we do jaws of life work. They are tough to rip, and i can work tools in them easily.

I like to include a bottle of Hibiclens (great cleanser and antiseptic) with my first aid kits. ( This thread reminds me that I need to replenish my kit)
