Hunting has been tough in many areas. However it's been pretty good for us at this point limits most mornings. However I'm done for teal season taking this weekend off.

I've been on 7 hunts this teal season and in my 3 man group we have killed a total of 21 birds with 10 of those coming on opening morning... The only reason I'm going this weekend is to get my pup out in the boat as much as possible because it's his first year... Other then that I haven't seen a reason to wake up early and waist my gas money going for teal this season... I reed an artical saying only 50,000 of the 238,000 BWT have made it down to LA so far due to the warm weather up north

So I got 0 this morning and saw 0 this morning off of Lake P... But I also had a RE RE come in on me and put us 5 decoys out 20-30 yards away from me... I hope he reads this and see how stupid he was... Either way I don't think it would have mattered because the ducks weren't flying that I could see... Either way now I'm looking foward to big duck season Nov 23rd...

Well we went in the spirit of not giving up this morning and it paid dividends! 4 guys scratched out 11 putting our hole to a grand total of 105 teal in 5 hunts! Now that "2 a days" are over time to stretch for the Friday night lights, bring on the big ducks!!

I had to double check my post to make sure I said 105 in 5 hunts. Nothing like your landowner buddy calling you cause the game warden called him saying that we killed 105 in one hunt. Now this game warden was notified by a warden in the county south of me. This person knows who they are, and my advice would be to quit being so over zealous to ticket people and open your d@mn eyes and read. We killed 36 one day, 22 one day, 12 one day, 24 one day and 11 one day. All hunts had an appropriate number of hunters present. I have the utmost respect for law enforcement, but a "illegitimate child" running down my name for no reason I have no tolerance for!

It's called a word filter. But I advise you to watch what you say about gamewardens on here. Several are members on here and don't appreciate name calling.

Well I do apologize and the initial anger is past. However a badge gives you no more right to slander someone's name than anybody else. I've spent my 31 years trying to uphold a respectable name and a landowner calling me first thing in the morning is not how I like to start my day.
