Re: Hero Users
I have had good luck turning off the auto backlight setting. (Read about this online). If you'll pay attention you'll notice with auto backlight the screen will surge a good bit. I found an app with a "widget" so you can quickly switch between settings. Allows 0/25/50/75/100%. I have found...

Re: Hero question
Try settings -- location -- unchecked "allow network to see my location" This is the setting that allows your location to be triangulated by cell towers when gps is off or the phone doesn't have gps. I think...

Re: HERO..Suggestions?
No hangups in the two weeks I've had it. Battery lasted 8a to 11p w/ gps. Outgoing email quit on me. CS is working on it, but probably won't work til I'm back in MS.

Re: To Hero or not to Hero?
No MMS now. You can send pics as an email attachment, though.
One thing I wish the Hero did have is Google Maps with navigation. I've read that it will be available with 2.0 early in 2010.
Posting from a Hero now.

Re: To Hero or not to Hero?
Picked one up last night. So far it's been great. Bit of a learning curve, but the Cell South website has lots of good info. (Setting up email etc.) Moved from ATT/Samsung BJII to CellSouth/Hero. Best part is my wife and I can now make phone calls from the house without having to walk outside. J

Re: Waders with zipper fronts?
My dad has a pair of the Cabela's brand. Has two seasons on the they work well for him. I've borrowed once when I blew out a set of mine. The zipper doesn't leak. It's well made very well, actually a pain to get open and closed. Not much of a problem around here but the zipper can freeze up when it'...

I'm assuming this is for breaching doors a'la SWAT. Blowing doorknobs and hinges, etc. You know what they say about assumptions.
