Re: Mississippi voting??
I understand the growth of rankin county, madison, ect as a flight growth. That's not a real numbers evaluation. My real question is the numbers game??? Do you think that babies stop being born in those blue areas??? I don't think it's far fetched that the red section becomes outnumbered due to birt...

Re: Mississippi voting??
I agree with most of that, but don't for one second think that ONLY black folks and poor folks are voting for Bennie Thompson. Of course not. Nobody is going to beat him, and his Seniority is a benefit to the State. The 2nd Congressional District is 63.5 % black, 35% white, 1.2% hispanic and the re...

Re: Mississippi voting??
My point being is it far fetched to say going by the numbers etc that the blue votes finally tip the scale in say 8 years??? The counties you stated, what is the census and growth every year etc vs lets say rankin county? Growth? LMAO. There is no growth in the Delta except Tunica and Desoto Counti...

Re: Mississippi voting??
The majority of the blue is in the Delta. The Delta has the lowest population in any region in the state. It's around 70% Black, and they tend to vote Democrat. Sharkey County has less than 6000 residents, only around 1900 ballots were cast here. . Issaquena County had about 700 voters. Both of thes...

Re: Mighty Mississippi Music Festival
Thought about it, but just spent my money on Guns N Roses in New Orleans. The video from their little gig at the Troubadour last night sealed the deal.

Re: Walking Dead
Norman Reedus (Darryl Dixon) is working on a new show for AMC for what it's worth. I don't think it's Glen, bc they don't follow the graphic novel exactly. But, it could be Darryl, Glenn, Rosalita but the rumor I see a lot is Abraham. Semi major character, but not the most important. Carol and Morga...

Just depends on how much you and your wife like cheeseburgers. Thats right i said it cheeseburgers! I love how every time i type cheeseburgers, DS converts it to cheeseburgers. I love cheeseburgers but i hate cheeseburgers, know what i mean You talkin about them regins? Not a big fan of them and it...

Re: New Orleans or Nashville?
If I had the option over the 2, and I took my wife to Nashville I'd probably end up divorced - at the very least sleeping outside. If you've been to New Orleans and vomit-smell is all you remember, then you didn't leave the FQ and most likely not Bourbon Street. 13 blocks in a city that's roughly 17...

Re: Appointed School District Superintendents
http://www.clarionledger.com/story/news/2016/02/10/ed-committee-passes-appointed-superintendent-bill/80190842/ Passed the State Senate today. Seems sketchy. Our district Representative agrees or at least he said such when he replied to my email earlier this afternoon. Just putting it out there beca...

Re: Letter to Editor in Vburg Post
Shoot, I wish they did keep the meat. I wouldn't have to hunt. My FiL won't even let somebody sit in his truck if it's not official business. Hell, the past 2 years I've given him (well, actually my mother in law, when you got a good one you try to keep them (and the wife) happy) meat because he doe...

Re: Letter to Editor in Vburg Post
I wonder why people always make these assumptions about various LEOs. Is it because it's what they'd do if they were in that position? I mean, I think this particular incident could have been handled better - ie, call in the Warren Co SD and let them arrest a few folks for interfering - but honestly...

Re: Flood Control Lakes
It ain't looking great, but at least the rains have been scattered so far. It must have come a flood right at the gates, almost 2 inches in a short period - but less than an inch at the Vicksburg gauge and 3/4 of an inch on the Sunflower at Hwy 14. Some places a lot less than that. Of course all my ...

Re: Widespread Panic In Jackson
I don't know that they'll be $55 and up necessarily. Not a fan, but I had front row seats at TTB last night and they were $62.50. Of course that was without fees - so maybe if you're talking total cost...maybe. Seats further back and also up in the balconies were cheaper. But I wouldn't be surprised...

Re: Flood Control Lakes
If we get 3" tomorrow, it could get ugly. It could. Let's hope we don't have to worry about it. NWS forecasts I just looked at didn't call for that much for Anguilla (Greenville basically) but I don't know what it's saying for Belzoni or Leland. It looks like some of it may be snow but it's go...

Re: Flood Control Lakes
I also agree %100 with that practice, but my father in law has a camp in Delta National Forest that is going to have a foot or two of water in it, if not already. Our current camp on the Big Sunflower has been there for 40 years. We're across the river from "the Island" portion of the DNF...
