Re: Governor Appointees

Some biologists resigned when they started allowing baiting. And deer hunting in MS will never be the same, IMO. Wish the priorities for the baiting issue were the same as for the Pumps, relative to our wildlife.

Re: Governor Appointees

I remember some experts quitting the agency when the Commission did something they the trained experts were opposed to.

I haven’t used either, but I think the MSU Deer Lab app does that. And I think Huntstand does, too.

Re: Yazoo Backwater Pump back in the news

I wouldn’t guess that the wave would make it far past the IP mill at Redwood. Maybe DR2’s Willow Break or Dixie Farms.

Re: Yazoo Backwater Pump back in the news

Yes and no. It’s only flowing backward in situations that the water levels are low upstream. You’d never see high backward rates when it’s already flooded upstream. Just think about what kinda water you’d have to be pouring into the street to back it up in the backyard. The upper Yazoo (Gwood) flood...

Re: Yazoo Backwater Pump back in the news

The capacity of the MS River below Vicksburg is effectively infinite compared to the capacity of the proposed pumps. Thus, the pumps would impact MS River levels negligibly. In turn, the levels of the Yazoo River would be impacted negligibly, being open to the MS River. Cascading that effect upstrea...

Me, too. Anywhere from Woodville to Rolling Fork. My boy’s 5 and I’d happily pay for a good shoot to let him tag along.

Teul.....he actually says where he will get the money from. I could never trust him, but the interview wasn’t what I expected. Can you give us the rundown of where he thinks he’s getting the money from? It’s usually not even possible. Sounds like he’ll tax the heck out of billion dollar companies l...

Re: Democratic thoughts

You’d be surprised how many really intelligent people think the .gov has an infinite supply of money that they dole out to the most worth causes. And that’s just the ignorant, dependent populace that the .gov wants to govern.

Looking at the map, it certainly appears the river may have giveth them some. Is the lawsuit over the taxes? I don’t see how anyone else could have a claim to the land.

Re: Democratic thoughts

I listened to part of the Rogan podcast and if you are not careful Bernie can be somewhat convincing on certain things. I was surprised..... I was too, expected him to be way more 'out there'. Kept hoping he'd give his definition of 'assault weapon'. Heaven forbid he sees the damage you do with a s...
