Re: Paint stripper for wood door

I've used the spray on foaming stuff on 100 year old finishes with good results. It might take multiple coats and definitely will take some scubbing with a soft bristle brush, but it'll take it off. I tried that citrus stiff once because it's supposedly less harsh to my liver than the bad stuff but ...

Re: Life jacket question

After I take mine off to start fishing, I buckle it onto the back seat. That's a little off topic, but I wanted to make it clear that I'm righteous like that.

Re: New to Starkville

Didn't mean to cause a stir with all this but I see yall's points. I'm still new to all this just trying to get some tips from more experienced hunters. I've made some progress on public spots by word of mouth and hope to make progress from there this fall when I'm back at school. Man you ain't cau...

Let us not pussyfoot around, you are Internet scouting. The bad kind of Internet scouting. The most offensive thing about an "innocent little ole me" Internet scouter is not so much the fact that you are being lazy; it's the fact that you're playing everyone for a buncha fools. Here's how...

Ask DS: Sourcing out a metal bridge crossing

I saw a couple of bridge flats in MS Market Bulletin where the 40 footer was $4000.

Do they get any cheaper? The only thing going across the bridge will be the occasional vehicle and a small tractor, regarding its width.

What do you recommend? A low water crossing is not desired.

Re: Has Social Media killed DS?

Bingo. Add to the fact that folks just do not read, let alone write, much of anything regardless of what they're using. If it ain't Twitter-length, then it ain't gonna get read, and it ain't gonna get wrote. All these studies coming out now are showing that reading content on a screen is dumbing us...

Re: Has Social Media killed DS?

As the access by smartphones and tablets increases the content decreases. Smartphones and tablets are essentially for the consumption of media, while laptops/desktops are for the creation of media. That's a big part of it too, in my opinion. Bingo. Add to the fact that folks just do not read, let a...

Re: Four wheeler came off trailer at 65 mph.....

What's shocking is that the bracket on atv is still there because it was the first thing I'd ever welded (other than flat plate that I practiced on horizontally at comfortable working height, aka ideal scenario) with a flux core wire welder, a harbor freight one at that. I'm way better now, with the...

Need Dozer work, bridge and gravel pricing

Anybody got any leads on REPUTABLE company who does this? We have a road (I'll know exact length later) that is mostly established but needs to be smoothed out and ditched to deal with erosion in the hilly terrain. In the section that needs the road established, it is cutover, so there are few if an...

Re: Four wheeler came off trailer at 65 mph.....

That's why I use a setup like this front and back. Quick & easy to hook up and the most jagged of roads won't phase the atv. http://i1083.photobucket.com/albums/j392/greenhedgrimreaper/20170417_102155_zpspx64dw4u.jpg Could be worse. Could have been a person texting while pulling out in front of ...

I highly recommend if you go underground to upgrade to 14 ga. wire.
