Re: Suggestions for youth turkey gun
I set up a beretta 303 20 gauge with a 24 inch barrel and a youth stock for my son. He has never complained about the kick. A bigger issue is making sure they have the upper body strength and long enough arms to handle it.

Maybe next year. I have gotten all the yard passes I'm asking for this year. The last one for a merriam is costing me big.

Re: Year of the band
Killed drake mallard Dec 15th, that was banded in 2003. It looked like an old band. Been waiting on a banded shoveler or Gadwal! Anyone ever seen a banded Gadwal? As many as get killed I haven't heard of one. I killed a banded gadwall last season and my wife killed one six or seven years ago. Those...

Re: SUNFLOWER COUNTY HUNTER SENTENCED
Isn't the worldwide thing voluntary to keep from having the entire book thrown at him? That is it exactly. He agreed to that. I do not think that could be imposed if he went to trial and was found guilty, but I assume that whatever the fines/penalties would be if found guilty would be worse, or at ...

Re: New Youth Cartridge
I agree. Designed for relatively short barrels and is great for kids. I set up an encore in 6.8 for my son. 16 inch MGM barrel with a youth stock. I have him shooting 85 gr Barnes at 2800-2900. It is deadly. He's killed 2 mature 200+ lb bucks plus doe and smaller bucks and none have gone more than 7...

Re: Custom Rifles
As stated above, a custom rifle is many things to many people but for me, it's a John Bolliger. Those are beautiful. I'm not smart enough to figure out where the price jump is. Walnut stocks ? I think it's the name more than anything. The materials are all top shelf and the fit, finish, checkering,...

Re: Cellular Trail Cams
CW ...do you stretch your booster antenna up or just attach and strap around the tree.? I usually turn it on to "test" mode, take a picture manually and transmit it manually to test the location/signal. While doing that the booster is not more than head high. If it worKs in that location,...

Re: Ask DS---Encore for youth
I have one set up for kids. Encore frame; TC youth stock set with hanger bar and trigger/hammer work by Stratton; MGM 16" barrel in 6.8 SPC. It will shoot the eyelashes off a gnat at 100. Literally the same whole. My son has killed several nice bucks with it.
