I used to hear it to about 80 yards. He has to be almost in the blind with me now. Need to get some electronic ears.

Good to be back in the Woods
Here is a picture of a bird I that I killed off the roost this past Tue. AM. Seems I did not get to hunt the first couple of weeks of the season due to stent #4 on the widowmaker. My cardiologist released me and I worked a bird all morning in the hills on Mon. to no avail. I got a call to come hunt ...

Re: Mississippi Callmakers Booth at the NWTF National Conven
Nashville was great. Sold out Sat. A.M. and took 15 orders for next year. Most of my boxes are delivered anyway from orders last year. Thanks for the response up there it was an awesome time again. Booth will be 10X2O next year. Here are a couple of pictures of Tom and Mike. My Mississippi opener wi...

Re: Mississippi Callmakers Booth at the NWTF National Conven
That book brings back some very fond memories. I remember thumbing through it as as child learning a lot about this state that I didn't know. And somehow, even though it was my grandmother's book, I have ended up with it in my possession. Think I might go pull it out and take a look through it. Goo...

Last hunt of the Season with Grandson
Grandson pulling curly cue tailfeathers from one of the greenheads yesterday. I really had a fun season this year hunting with him. Can't wait until next year. He is headed snow skiing with family next weekend. Mr. E http://i287.photobucket.com/albums/ll150/jleddleman/Hunting%202/IMG_3866_zps3e1d2fa...

Another fun hunt with my Son and Grandson
My Grandson Cooper (Age 5) is learning quick. Upon inspecting a hen that fell, almost taking our heads off, he proclaims, "Scout, you shot a Lady". I was holding the duck and his mouth was open. He says,"Can I feel her tongue." He is taking it all in now. My son Kirk gave him a d...

A little bling from afternoon hunt with grandson.
Can't see the 8 greenheads very well in this afternoon's picture. But you can see the bling on one my grandson is holding up. While we were hiding in the reed's, he killed his limit of snack's in no time. First hunt for the young 5 year old. Can't wait till he starts pulling the trigger. One I shot ...

Re: A Flock of Turpins under the Christmas Tree
I'm offended you don't list me as a reference. :D I've got at least 4 of your boxes, 3 more on order, and no love! Those look great Mr. E. I can't wait to see my set! Your lucky I remembered those. I could not even think of Justin's handle on here and still can't. I think I still have some wood or ...

Re: A Flock of Turpins under the Christmas Tree
How do we order or procure one of those fine boxes I put you on my list ( I am a part time callmaker, but have been making boxes for 25 years). My waiting list is backed up about 10 months now. When your name comes up, you tell me which type of box you have decided on. I make both Turpin shortboxes...

A Flock of Turpins under the Christmas Tree
I had a turkey hunting grandfather of about my own age, put in a Christmas order a good while back. Just finished it up and put it under my own tree to see see what it would look like. All I can say is, - that there is going to be WHOLE lot of yelping under his tree when they are opened come Christm...

Re: Wanton Waste
No one is going to advise you to break one law in order to follow another. Make a reasonable attempt. Also use common sense. If your birds are gonna fall somewhere you know it's gonna be dern near impossible to retrieve them, don't pull the trigger. Wingman, we talked about this last year. A landow...
