Re: Turcotte Sporting Clays?

DM,

I've never had a problem. Granted, I probably shoot less than a dozen times a year.

Re: SEC Baseball

This weekend went to hell in a handbasket really quick. Yeah, but I wouldn't say State fell apart to lose it. If A&M were able to maintain that level of play all the time, they would be all but unbeatable. A&M was at the top of their game. State played well but not outstanding. Results were...

Re: Running jugs on the Rez

Blake, I appreciate the offer and will take you up on it. I will see what I can do about getting a castnet so we can get some bait. Does it have to be on a weekend or can you do it one afternoon during the week? Kevin, Good to hear from you. If I decide to go over to the west side of the state, I'll...

Re: Running jugs on the Rez

Matador,

I appreciate the advice and suggestions. Once baseball is over with and we have some time, I may take you up on the offer. In the meantime, it sounds like I need to go buy a cast net.

Running jugs on the Rez

All, If this needs to be moved the fishing forum then so be it, but I know it will get more looks here. When I was a kid we used to run jugs all the time in farm ponds. I want take my son out and let him have the experience, but its hard to find a pond with catfish in it. I've heard several on here ...

Re: St. Paddy's Parade pointers

It was good. We got to see just about every walk of life that Jackson had to offer (both good and bad). The kids had a good time and caught a bunch of beads. We will likely go back next year.

St. Paddy's Parade pointers

All, I grew up in the Metro area, but have never been to the Mal's St. Paddy's Day Parade. Never had the desire. For some odd reason I agreed to take my wife and kids this year. Since I have them I will be looking for family-friendly. Any suggestions? Places to go? Stay away from? Thanks, Pond

Re: Building a cabin

Sam, We finished one up a couple of years ago. A buddy of mine was the GC. We learned several lessons. It is as much of a barn as it is a cabin. Under roof 3/4 is covered barn/skinning shed/storage and 1/4 is living area. If you ever want to take a look at it let me know. Its between Canton and Flo...

Re: New Job

I work from home, but I also travel a fair bit. My home office is B'ham and usually spend a 4-5 days a month there. With B'ham and other trips I am on the road maybe 8 nights a month. More than some, less than others. Very quickly you will realize how much more productive you can be at home rather t...

Re: To fertilize or not

Scott, Thank you for the response. I am going to hit a select couple and see what happens. I only have a few bags of each and dad is not crazy about storing it. If I get anything close to an interesting result. I'll let you know. On a different note, I hope life is good. Let's get together for lunch...

To fertilize or not

All, I have a few bags of triple 13 and 0-20-20 left from planting plots in mid-October. My question is this, do I need to want for a rain to hit by plots again? I know if I did it when it was hot and dry it would likely burn them up, but with it cooler and wet would the same thing happen. I want to...
