Re: Call suggestions for 7 year old
I would keep rocking the DR85. Its only killed like, 1 million ducks. Or Haydels makes (or made) a "French Mallard" single reed that takes almost no air (but has corresponding low volume).

Re: Quick access handgun safe
I had access to a building once based on a fingerprint scanner. They must have scanned my print in a half-dozen times, and it never worked right. I always thought it was because of coming on/off insulin, and retaining or not retaining a little water making fingers swell or not. I would NEVER trust a...

Re: Blinds/stands for pup
I have tried most all of them on the market, some that were prototypes that never made it to the market, and a couple homemade versions. For years, I have maintained that the Sportstand was the best stand other than custom fabbed, period. Now, it has a very serious challenge from MoMarsh. I like the...

No. They learn the scent of bumpers, too. I just prefer them to get birds whenever possible.

Re: bumpers
If at all possible, use I use ducks for marks. On a "pure water" day I use black/white medium size ATB's, as "how you get there" is usually the lesson verses "can you pick it up." I use bumpers for pile work and blinds. Most of the time I use black/white bumpers/ATB's i...

If you want a "British" dog check with Tom Hamilton at www.brackenfen.com. Tyler Patterson at sure shot retrievers north of Memphis has a couple of males left from a very nice FC x GHRCH MH litter right now that will be ready to go home the first week of August.

Re: Have any of you camped on Cat Island?
Camped on on Horn, Round and Petit Bois. We always used a boat to fish, so I can't help much there. Bring a thermacel. Petit Bois does not seem to get the crowds the others do. Horn will get POPULATED on weekends in warm weather with scantily clad females and escorts.

Re: RNT
The "ridges" are not really from the calls being jigged, as much as from the old style CNC mills that were used to mass duplicate the calls. If a call does not have a "jig mark" from the set screw essentially on the back end of the cork slot, its not "jigged." Those are...
