Re: Need help with old tree lounge

Well my butt is pretty heavy which makes me a little worried about taking on this project at all. The trampoline material sounds good if I can find some. I have worried also about the material tearing where it is screwed onto the stand. Thanks for the tips. I will most likely look at the silt fence ...

Need help with old tree lounge

My brother has given me an old original tree lounge with bow hunting adapter. It needs some work. I need to replace the web sling seat as it has some holes in it and I need to replace the standing platform on bow hunting adapter. I'm thinking my best bet on the platform is thick plywood but I'm at a...

Re: Finally found some bottomland

Mossy Oak store in West Point had a lot of it 2 weeks ago and even had it side by side to compare with the new bottomland pattern they have. FYI the old stuff looks much better imo.

Re: The Nostradamus of Alabama Auditions

Nice. The first one reminds me of an old school Memphis wrestling interview/video with the likes of jerry the king lawler, superstar bill Dundee or some of those guys.

Re: Prison Time for Ole Miss Student

Agreed, a young preppy kid will be target number 1 in jail, and then the fact that he is convicted of a racially charged crime will be very very bad for him. If he can make it 6 months then he will be doomed when he gets out as far as future employment unless he works in a family business or is give...

Re: Safe Room

I do not have one but have seen the one mentioned designed to fit in your garage slab. There is a member on here that had one installed post construction. It looks like like a cross between a duck pit and a grease pit from an oil change place. low profile and its narrow enough that it fits between t...

Re: Arctic cat feed back?

Not sure about the new models but I bought a 2000 500 4x4 with auto transmission new and ran it for 10 years with no major problems. My only issue with it was that it was really cold natured. It gave me fits starting when temps dropped below freezing. Only reason I ever got rid of it was to get a ra...

Re: Insulated Crate Covers vs. Dog Box

These are them. They are still just a crate with air holes. So in the reall cold, your going to need a cover. https://www.gunnerkennels.com/ And the cheapest one is $450!!! I saw one of these around tupelo today. Little too rich for my blood on a crate. Hope they do well with it. I'm sure there's a...

Re: Insulated Crate Covers vs. Dog Box

I use a crate and cover. I have used basic thin covers over the years for wind break plus I still put blankets or straw in them so they can hunker down. I leave his vest on while driving home also to lock in warmth. I have used in the past and will use on my next truck a crossover dog box. They do n...

Re: gps hunting app for camps

I use scout look app. I thinks that's been mentioned on here before. It's pretty good for what I use it for. It does not let you log in and find out whose hunting what stand. I guess that's only as good as the person remembering to do that before they get in the stand. I use scout look to mark and n...

Re: Parenting question - axe DS

One way to handle it may be to tell your daughter that she is not allowed to be on the iPad or computer at anyone else's home period. If she will hold strong to that when she is at this other child's home then it should put a stop to it. It could also cause the parents who allow the unsupervised acc...

Re: Dear DS Braintrust,

1st started early 3s but didn't last that long. The 2nd child never really went through that stage perhaps because he catches on fast and saw his older brother get throttled several times and didn't want much to do with that so he just didn't really test us.

Re: Speaker Phillip Gunn Calls For Removal of Confederate Fl

I followed the thread the last week or so. There have been statements here about the possibility of taking down confederate monuments, names etc. while on vacation down here in south Alabama I noticed the mobile news station running a story on this very topic. I may be mistaken and some of you can p...

Re: Life Insurance

To each his own on if they want it or not but here's how we use it. My wife is a stay at home mom so she does not produce much income therefore in order to keep her from having to scramble and go back to teaching school I carry 12 times my income, here's why. The only debt we have is our mortgage so...
