Re: How young is too young to start shooting?
I almost scared one of mine off at a young age without hearing protection. That's a loud sound that they've never heard before. i had earlplugs on him, but i think that earplugs and muffs would have been the way to go. It took a while for me to get him to shoot after that. I think 3 or 4 yrs old is ...

Re: Remembering Hardin Phillips
I still have his cell number in my phone as well. I just remember it was hot when we lost him. I still jab myself for not checking on him as well. I hunted with him several times and shared a lease with him one year. I do miss that energy. I can't believe it's been 5 years. Thank you posting Dan, it...

Re: POAST vs clearfield sunflowers
He's going to charge me $150 for 30 ounces. That will cover my 8 acres. That saved $450. Who says it doesn't pay to ask duck south? Derrick is great to deal with if you guys ever need anything. Thanks again.

Re: well, i'm moving to denver!
There are several rivers that I know pretty well within a couple of hours of Denver. It would like driving to the Delta to duck hunt for a day, but I can put you on some good trout water if you like to fly fish. PM me and I will be glad to share. I only get out there once or twice a year.

Go a little early and go down to King Edward bar for a drink. Bar atmosphere is good at both places.

Went last night with a group. Cowboy Ribeye was great, the Grouper was dry and overcooked. Didn't appear to be fresh. Scallops are really good. Good wine and a buncha drinks $210 for me and the lady. Third time I have been. I like it and will continue to go back.

Re: Why was this season so bad
I went through almost 4 cases of shells. 3 bands in woods and fields. I thought all the stars lined up for one of the best seasons ever. Ms River low, all local rivers low, cold weater North of us, I had water, and bloody mary time started before 9 with limits most mornings. After the hunt of course.
