Re: McDaniel v Cochran - Thoughts

I'm voting Thad. I don't believe in career politicians, but also am not a fan of the Tea Party's emotional, infectious, knee jerk reactions splitting the Republican party. They claim they are doing good, but all they are really doing is dividing conservatives and letting Democrats like Pelosi, Obama...

Re: Price's Paying?

Depends on size of property, habitat, number of members that turkey hunt, number of turkeys, location, etc. With that being said I've paid between $250 and $1250.

Ask DS: Concrete Floor Stencils

Does anyone know where I can get a farely large stencil (thinking in the 36"x36" or 48"x48" range) to stain/paint a pattern in a stained concrete floor?

Re: Wanton Waste

This came up in my office last week. What if the bird falls or swims across a property line from public land to private land. Is it legal to cross the property line to retrieve the bird or is it considered trespassing? My coworker said he was told that without permission from the landowner its tres...

Re: Ask DS: Winch for Skinning Rack

I knew to get a hoist.

Are we saying there is no easy way and an electrician (or Lord help us, me) is going to have to extend cord?

Adrian - Hard to believe ain't it

Re: Ask DS: Winch for Skinning Rack

Jimbo - That ain't an option for this rig

Probably a mistake, but against my urging it was decided the deer would be skinned just outside the garage and therefore we didn't put in a floor drain. I was sure hoping there would be an easier way because I'm anything but an electrician.

Ask DS: Winch for Skinning Rack

I'm looking for a wench for a skinning rack. 1000 pound winch is what I have in mind. Problem is I need one with a cord in the 20-25 foot range. The winch will be mounted about 17 feet high outside. To keep the cord from getting in your way, I want to run the cord perpendicular from the wench back i...

Re: Black Boxes for Car Tracking/taxing purposes...

I never said i was for the black box or being tracked, just said it is a fare way to pay for a road system. If you think driving up and down the roads should be free, you are crazy. Should talking on your cell phone be free too? In the same right, the more you use something, the more you should have...

Re: Black Boxes for Car Tracking/taxing purposes...

While I don't agree with it and know they would infringe on your privacy, a box tracking your actual highway usuage would be the fairest way to fund highway construction and maintenance. The current gas taxes aren't enough to support the system and you can't get anyone to bring up an increase (like ...

That's impressive Dan, thanks for sharing.

I can't tell from the small pictures, but how did you armour your back fill at the bridge ends to ensure the river want erode it away next flood?

Re: Lake Caroline area

Maps are maps, but to make dang certain either 1) get on the phone with the school board like I did or 2) check out the tax assessors office which is what school board falls back on. Enter parcel number or address. Scroll down to the bottom and it will tell you school district. Should either say Mad...
