Yes, you can get a kit. I got mine from "Uncle Johns" over in LA. They provide the ribs/stems and plans, and you by the rest (e.g. plywoood) from wherever. Try a web search and you can probably find their website. Good luck.

That is the worst duck show ever. skybusts and puts crippled birds on the water routinely. Just what guys new to duck hunting don't need to see.

This won't help you any now, but for an idea of what it used to be like hunting Tunica back in the old days, see page 34 of the current issue (no 7/v28) of Gray's Sporting Journal.

I use the aftermarket Briley extended tubes on my 686 o/u. On an average condition shoot for ducks I use imp in the bottom barrel and light modified in the top barrel. If I'm in a real tight hole, I'll go to skeet and improved. In my 11-87 I go with the improved. For geese, I tighten it up one notch...

I frequently used 3 canada goose magnets when hunting canadas up in Virginia. Mounted them on 10' conduit poles and sometimes they would be 8' above ground, sometimes a lot less if we were in muck. Used them whether it was windy or not, sometimes if it was too windy they jumped around too much and b...

I have six "bigfoot" canada floaters (expensive, but I like them); 2 doz outlaw sillys, a few higdon shells, and about 5 doz old flambeau shells with the metal stakes that raise them up a few inches (kind of cheap by today's standards but they still work great). This combo has always served me well ...

Absolutely true that they do it. I don't know if they actually drown themselves or instead just get tangled up at the bottom trying to get away or what, but sometimes they definitely do not come back up.

I had a 16hp mudbuddy and was very happy with it. I can't comment on other 2 manufacturers cause I've never owned them, but my friends who have go-devils are quite happy with theirs too.

Yes, unfortunately easy access equals more knuckleheads. The advice to try more difficult to get to holes is good.
