Re: Ask DS: Iphone water damage
had a buddy drop in while duck hunting and it sat under for atleast 5 min. he went back to the house and took it completely apart and soaked it in alcohol. had to be 90% isopropy or whatever its called. it worked for him. as long as you haven't tried to turn it on and try this, it may work. he hasn...

Re: Benelli spring question
I wonder if it's all the spring or the plug the shells push against is binding. Pull the spring and and plug make sure nothing binding. Also remember if that spring is weak or slow it will affect cycling. You're relying on that spring to spit the next shell onto the carrier before the bolt closes. F...

Re: Millet scopes?????
I have a Millet DMS-1. Currently back at Bushnell for replacement. Less than 500 rounds of 5.56 and the reticle is loose in the tube. I purchased the scope before Millet was bought out. We'll see how Bushnell does with the warranty. They're made in China, but consistently noted as being a good budge...

Re: Disney World Trip?
Oh. One more thing. Guns and knives are discouraged in the parks. They're not going to try and arrest you etc, but you will be asked to leave or the store the weapon. No metal detectors or anything like that. They don't search people but they will look into every bag that comes into the park. Cooper...

Re: Disney World Trip?
Man the editor is acting screwy. To continue the above post. Fast Pass is your friend. Determine what rides you want to do the most. Hit that one first thing in the morning. As soon as you get off hit the fast pass and move to your next favorite ride. The parks really start to fill up after 10 am so...

Re: Disney World Trip?
Work related conferences and generous grandparents have conspired to get us ther 6 times in the last 8 years. My wife and I probably have more fun than my daughter. The last couple of trips I had to keep up with work via BB but even then they make it pretty easy to forget about work while you are th...

Re: Ask DuckSouth: TV repair.
I just fixed my Samsung 2 weeks ago. Plenty of instructions on the net. $5 and a half hour and it's good as new.

Re: I am looking to buy a new Echo call
Can't say anything about the newer Echo. If I had to live with just one call it would be an Echo XLT. Doesn't take a lot of air to work. Can be made to ring up top while being very ducky on the bottom.

Re: Wader Question
I've got two seasons on a pair of hodgeman breathables with a zipper. Bought when they were on closeout from the Coleman website. They are the most comfortable waders I've ever owned. No leaks and no problems with the zipper. Only thing I miss is the chest pocket. If I have to stand in deep water an...

Re: benelli butt plate screws...
Was cleaning my Benelli tonight and ran into a little (BIG) problem. While putting the buttplate back on, the screws evidently wore out the hole in the stock and won't tighten down. Now my buttplate is loose. I looked but can't see how to get the screws out of the rubber pad. Will I have to order a...

Re: Pit Blind
Do a little research on POR-15. It's a paint on rustconverter. May or may not be what you want with the water issues from a pit.

Re: Hero chargers
Cellular South told me not to use any other charger for my HERO....Even the cheap ones. I have been using a Motorola car charger since I got mine..the folks at Cellular South even told me when I bought mine that I could use the same charger I had been using with my Blackberry. I would imagine they ...

I'll second Roger's. Been using them for the last 3-4 years. No issues, fast shipping, good prices. They're in MO so it's a quick ship to MS/LA.

Re: Ask Duck South - XM install
If you don't have a direct input and are forced to go the FM modulator route you may want to invest in one of these. http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Audiovox+-+FM+Direct+Adapter+for+XM+Satellite+Radio+Receivers/8362808.p?skuId=8362808&id=1177717628634 Plugs inline on FM antenna and basically interup...

Re: ATV Winch Question?
When I bought my ATV in 04 I picked up a Warn because of one of deals they were always running with new ATV's. In three years it was a rusted hunk. Not really faulting the winch because it spent a great deal of time under water with all the rice field and lake bottom riding. When I looked into parts...
