Re: Nothing like plan D

Only grab them by the head now. Had a bird with the same size spurs slice me up once, he got caught up in my glove, it was bad. So from then on I grab them by the head and hold them out and just let'm flop.

Nothing like plan D

Got my first MS bird of the season on public land. Was at my 4th spot, all others taken, went blind and it worked out. Had people stopping at my truck blowing their horns and yelling that I wasn't gonna kill anything. Ahh the joys of public land. 9.25" beard 1.25" spurs 20.2lbs The good Lo...

Re: Ecoboost winch mount grille guard

There are a few companies that are making bumpers for the EcoBoost. Ive talked to (not emailed) all I've listed. Fabfour has one that is nice, Addictive Desert Designs are nice but more of a baja look. Ranch hand has one also. I went with the Iron Bull bumper and couldn’t be happier. I opted to add ...

Re: Low Country Longbeards

Thats an awesome hunt right there. Congrats to all the hunters. What were the sizes of the birds, the one on the far left of the tailgate has a rope. what few spurs you can see are nice too.

Re: Turkey Pluckin

3seasons, That method could be problematic considering some of the places I kill birds. Ha yeah that could be a problem. He's done it on a place or two he shouldnt have been, then filled his jacket up with all the feathers. It does make a mess but its priceless watching someone walk out with a butt...

Re: Turkey Pluckin

We used to dip them in boiling water.

i have a friend that as soon as he shoots one he will run out and start plucking, seems to work real well but makes a mess wherever you are. For whatever reason the feathers release better right after the shot.

Re: Legal ? About takin pics

Thanks. I took her and our 6yr old daughter and their 9month old pup. Saw a few ducks but only got one teal. They had a blast anyway.

Just didn't want to fork out over $200(La lic) for a 65deg sky watching hunt.

Legal ? About takin pics

My wife is wanting to come along on a hunt to watch the dog work and to take pics.
I hunt in MS and LA, does she have to have a lic and stamps to take pics?
Thanks

Re: The word is out!

1st question is if he had a dog why was he pulling the boat with the dog in it out to get a duck.

Second thing is he is very blessed to be alive, 6' away its a wonder the wad didnt go through him.
