He's dead isn't he! That was the goal wasn't it! Went a lot easier than that poor girl. What the hell is wrong with people? Nuff said!

Re: Tornado Turkey

Can you imagine how many birds we lose when tornados rip thru all those woods at night in MS and AL. Man, it's got to be a lot.

Re: McDaniel v Cochran - Thoughts

You boys don't have to worry about me voting for your Senator because I'm in Alabamy but anybody that votes for a single incumbent deserves what they get. Seniority be damned! That's what's wrong with the whole system. There was never any intent of a career politician and I'll never vote for an incu...

Re: The Drum

Sound is a funny thing. If the brain doesn't recognize it, it just won't register. I know that deer have always grunted in the woods but I had never really noticed it until I had heard it on deer hunting videos. After that, I heard it all of the time. It's just like turkeys don't yet realize what th...

Re: The Drum

I've never done it but I've seen my brother bring two or three in drumming to them. We were looking at him both times and he was sitting twenty yards behind me but gobbler had drawn the line until he did that. Immediate change in posture when he thought he heard a drum.

Re: The Drum

I can still hear it pretty well. I'm 57 now and I definitely can't hear it the way that I did in my younger years. Years in pit blinds and guiding 6 to 10 hunters in peanut fields have taken their toll. I try to wear ear plugs but alway end up losing them getting up and down in a layout blind. I've ...

Re: Missed him last week but not this am.

Got a 20+lb. Rio that my son killed at the taxidermist. It was close to yours in beard and spurs. Killed it in OK. Can't wait to get it back. Should be done by the end of the month. Make sure to put pics of this big boy out here when you get it back. Few things look better in the corner of a room th...

Same as Lawdawg. Gobbler Stopper red dot with no magnification and Pentax 10 x 42 binos that I've had for years.
