Re: Opening weekend forecast

Anyone have any extended heat wave hunting tactics to share?

More importantly does anyone have any ducks still on their property in spite of this heat wave?

I refuse to wear a short sleeve shirt to go duckhunting in, but if this keeps up, I may have to make an exception.

Re: Self guided hunts

I couldn’t remember his name.

But I got some info from gh22 the other day. He didn’t mention Charles Snapp, so that apparently is not an option anymore.

Thanks.

Self guided hunts

Anyone got a name or number for anyone offering self guided duck hunting opportunities. What about that guy from Arkansas, Davy Crockett outfitters that I went with a few of y’all on one year? I think that was the name? Is he still around and offering that type of hunting arrangement? Anyway, and ol...

Opening weekend forecast

Anybody got any ducks penned up for this weekend?

I think we got a few. And I’m hoping to pick up where I left off last February with that Ross goose band. That was pretty fun.

Re: Pistol for Deep Pocket Carry

I recently got a newly minted colt python with 4 1/4 inch barrel that I wear in a Galco Alaskan shoulder harness. This son of a gun is bad to the bone. I’ve never owned a 357 before and I absolutely love this revolver. It’s cost me an additional 600 bucks or so to get set up to load for it, but it w...

Re: “It’s Fall… baby!”

I lost a full body spec decoy 15 years ago somewhere between indianola and clarksdale. If anyone picked it up I have the wire stand that goes with it. Call me to get the wire stand so the decoy will work correctly. http://www.ducksouth.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=44482&p=411067&hilit=F...

Re: New Nebraska license option. Please discuss

Wonder how many are going to op in for this tier ? Are there any numbers yet? I’m Kind of thinking that if it were a one or two year option per licensee lifetime, might not be a bad thing. In other words I would be hopeful the novice hunter would want to improve his game so he too could splash green...

Re: US Supreme Court Decision

Doesn’t look like much is happened in that regard. Today the Supreme Court also ruled in favor of West Virginia against the EPA. This could have a ripple effect through all of the government agencies and their ability to legislate without congressional approval. This is potentially a big deal. And i...

Re: Jackson, Mississippi is Safe....

What ultimately became from the library issue? Did they get those faggot books tossed out? Or do you have to go behind a curtain now to get to a little secret room where you can view them? Regardless I thought that was a good move to bring it to light. In other matters, yes I still have a half a can...

Re: Jackson, Mississippi is Safe....

I don’t know? It may be an extension of one of the existing dealers down there? It may be totally false? I would actually enjoy having a battery powered pick up “IF” The following conditions could be met: 1. Affordable 2. Must have range equivalent to that of current GMC 1500 gas burner. 3-400 miles...

Re: Glad to see some activity here

Definitely not me. I am trying to become a sunflower farmer. On a small scale of course. And on the extreme opposite end of the spectrum of my life….. my 79-year-old widowed mother is getting remarried this weekend. And from the level of festivities it looks like she’s going to finally get the weddi...

Re: Breamses

I went bream fishing this past Tuesday morning with a friend.

I don’t even remember how long it’s been since I have done that. Probably pushing 25 years.

We caught 23 whoppers. It was pretty fun.
