Looks to me like that brown out is from TOO much water. And I wouldn't be putting any fertilizer on it now unless it was a very low nitrogen lawn starter fertilizer. Priority one with new sod is a healthy root system. It looks like you have enough live grass in those pieces that it might fill in but...

Tried my hand at a "fluff and buff" and it seems to have done the trick. I put several round each of hollow points, critical defense, and ball ammo through it with no problems. It'll cycle them as fast as I can pull that long heavy trigger. Problem solved hopefully.

It happened with both the pinky extension and a flush magazine. I think it is largely an ammo problem. The hollow points were hanging up even when cycle manually.
