yes the tube cap is at the end.. The tab on the cap is in the groove.. I will check into a new spring..

The spring does seem to be extra long and kinda difficult to get it all back into the tube.. I wonder if I could cut some of the spring off and if so how long would it need to be?

Give me some ideas of what may be causing an obstruction!! Only thing in the tube is a spring and I have taken it out and put it back in several times to no avail..

I would make the windows as small as you possibly can to limit the ability to see movement on the inside. I made my windows 8 inches wide and wishing I had made them more like 6 inches. I also paint the inside black or dark color to conceal movement on the inside.. I would also consider putting down...
