Re: Y'all that reload...

http://www.handloads.com/ Good reference site for different loads to try out that may not be in standard printed load guides. I picked up a couple hot loads off it for my .223 and subsonic loads for my .308. I learned a little over 10 years ago just reading manuals. Really there isn't much to it. N...

Y'all that reload...

I'm about to try my hand at it but don't have any real knowledge to get started. I'm slowly accumulating some supplies and components. Are there any forums out there y'all participate in where there's lots of good info? Any must have books or manuals?

Best day of my life!

Sunday, well after I put him to bed and entirely on his own, my 6 year old prayed for Jesus to be his savior! He has been asking questions for about 6 months but we haven't pushed him. This was all Him and God! I've never been more proud or excited!!

Proverbs 27:8

Proverbs 27:8 "Like a bird that flees its nest is anyone who flees from home." I had to take a few minutes to get below the surface on this verse this morning. What does that mean really? What does a nest mean to a bird? What does a home mean to a man? Comfort? Shelter? Protection? So what...

Lawn Maintenance: Oak Leaves, rake or Mulch

It will all depend on what you're trying to grow. If you're growing fescue or something that needs to be overseeded a couple times a year you could probably do less lime per application. The areas with the heaviest amount of leaf litter will require more than the other areas. You could start with 10...

Ever been to Canadia?

Have any of you ever deer hunted in Saskatchewan? As I told someone yesterday, there is a lot of green on the table between now and Saskatchewan deer season, but I may have the opportunity to hunt there this fall. What should I expect as far as weather goes? Any "must haves" that differ fr...

Re: Lawn Maintenance: Oak Leaves, rake or Mulch

If you fertilize and lime your lawn regularly anyway mulch them. It's just free organic matter (nitrogen) for the lawn. If you don't lime each year I'd rake them.

Re: Letter to Editor in Vburg Post

This happened in front of the Ergon plant. The deer would've had to walk over 2 miles down the port road and then crossed Business 61, obviously full of traffic, to get to dry ground. Google where the Ergon plant is on Haining Road. It is completely surrounded by miles of water right now. Had it ca...

Re: Who gets the deer? Discussion Topic.

Hunter B has the right to claim the deer...no different in my eyes than if the barely wounded deer had been killed by another hunter a month later or by someone on a different property a mile away...but since Hunter B is the bigger man he happily gives the deer and all the credit to Hunter A.

Re: AR-10

You've had this for about a month now, put up some pictures of dead stuff. Hanging my head. I don't think I have ever missed a deer with a scoped rifle till now. Missed two does in two weeks at close range. Zero is still good so it's my fault. No idea what I did wrong. I also went on an invitationa...

Re: AR-10

I buy these for my my AR's: http://www.brownells.com/rifle-parts/triggers-parts/triggers/ar-15-enhanced-military-style-triggers-prod53928.aspx The "act" version. Still maintains the mil-spec properties but it much crisper feeling with very little to no creep. I've got several of these and...

Re: AR-10

Wildfowler, Gator....I bought the Gen 1 Oracle and I'm pretty pleased with it. Got rained out and didn't get it dialed in as well as I would like but it will hold 2" groups at 200 yds with cheap hunting rounds with no trouble. The trigger is my only concern. It wasn't as bad as I expected but a...
