Re: 65 / 65A

Teul, I know plenty of good ol boys that smoke, so that theory sounds like a pipe dream.

Re: 65 / 65A

Jack, your source states that legalization neither increases nor decreases violent and property crime. So, your claim that legalization increases crime remains dubious.

Re: 65 / 65A

Jack, you have no evidence that crime has increased in states that have legalized marijuana use. In point of fact, marijuana legalization has led to reductions in property and violent crime, and said reduction has enabled greater efficiency in resource allocation by law enforcement agencies. Here's ...

Re: Ducksouth book of face

For what it's worth, Rocky did keep this place going after Micah washed his hands of it.

However, of all the duck hunters that I respect, none of them run their mouth and self-aggrandize like Rob does. It says volumes that Rocky holds him in high esteem.

This is correct. We're in talks to have our WRP tract in Money thinned at the moment.

Damn. Wish I had seen this sooner. Would have been good to attend just to learn a thing or two.

Re: QuietKat

Just ride a regular mountain bike. You can pick up a decent one for 1k and get a couple good years of riding out of it before anything needs replacing. Major benefits - it's a quarter of the price of those stupid Rambo bikes, and you'll get in better shape and maybe live long enough to see your grea...

Re: Anyone doing any good

Haven't killed scads of ducks, but are seeing enough and killing enough to be happy about this year overall. Killed mostly mallards and some woodies until the Tallahatchie started flirting with flood stage, so the past two weeks it's been about 25% mallards, 25% teal, and 50% ring necks. Last year w...

Re: Which governor candidate will be the best for Mississippi’s natural resources?

I just hope it’s not one day to become some sort of gateway to the government being able to withhold funding if we don’t comply with some future liberal law? I don't see that happening. Anyway, if it did, it might be fair to other states. For years, Mississippi has received more federal assistance ...

Levee Dimensions

We're looking to build a levee around our camp house and I want to know what other folks have used as their height to width ratio. For example, a pdf I found from LSU recommends 7 feet width for every 1 foot in height. So, what have y'all done?

Re: Floodwaters

Hwy 16 just west of wolf lake was being closed on Friday on my way home. Have to find a new way to get to work, though there's not much can be done with this high water. Drove through Delta National on the way to Rolling Fork on Friday morning and saw some boys working hard with a backhoe to build a...

Re: Big Muddy prediction of 51.5 feet

MEMA paid a visit to our camp today. Second time someone has launched a boat off 6 mile lake road within sight of the railroad tracks.

First time was last week when we did our best to pull our valuables out of the flood waters.
