Re: What Yall Think About Trump Now
A few points of contention for me: I'm not a fan of his denial of climate change and plans to deregulate oil and gas extraction. Renewables are the wave of the future and we already get a greater return on investment for each dollar put into 'green' energy than for each put into fossil fuel producti...

Re: Spruce...
Was expecting a spruce moth pattern from the title. Good looking flies, though.

Re: Any luck with this cold front
Like others have said, ducks were here a day before the front, then everything froze up. Had 3/4" of ice on our flooded fields and still not enough water in our flooded timber, so no ducks. We'll see how it goes this weekend, but at least it's been a good year for killing bucks so far.

Re: Duck Killing
I haven't gone yet, since I try to get a nice buck before I pick up the shotgun. However, while sitting in a tree next to the scatters this past week, I did not hear much shooting. On New Year's Eve, a Saturday, I think I heard 8 shots. Usually sounds like a war in there that weekend.

Re: Goal Setting
I set a goal a few years back to write in a journal every day for a few minutes. I still haven't made a it a week writing every day, but as I get older, it makes it a lot easier to recall and reminisce on good hunts/fishing trips/climbs. I think for goal setting, the key is to take it day by day, st...

Used to be a pair that nested about 200m from the west end of Mcintyre from the mid 90s to the mid 00s.

Re: Fratstar or not?
Using ReviveX every two years or so, keeps it waterproof. If you were an "early adopter" of good gear you typically had mountain climbing gear from REI or someplace like that. GoreTex was in black/brown or dark green before it was camo. Camo still raises the price of everything. Mountain ...

Re: wholesale website
What do the non-douche bag hunters like to wear? Whatever they want, really. Nothing's monolithic, but there are trends among the Drake/Yeti/UnderArmour customer base not seen elsewhere. You know it when you see it, and fortunately these fellas tend to self-identify, such as wearing facepaint and y...

Re: Wolf question
You could have a 'Call of the Wild' situation. Maybe somebody's husky got out and decided to run to the wildness still in his genes. It could also be a hybrid somebody tried to keep as a pet and let go or lost because they couldn't handle it.

Re: wholesale website
But i assure you that Tate didn't get into the outdoor gear market cause he thought it would be $#!+ gear. Just my observation. I dont actually use a lot of said $#!+ gear but am for one glad to know if i need it, there are many, many, many more items and lines to choose from now as opposed to times ...

Re: Wolf question
Yep serious! Lol I might sound bat crap crazy about it but oh well. He looks exact opposite of a coyote in color. He is more of a white/greyish color, -alot taller and bigger. Always stays behind them also whenever we have seen them like yesterday morning. Very well could be a cross with something....

Re: Wolf question
Speaking as a former wolf trapper and researcher, I am 100% certain that you have not seen a wolf. The closest wolf pack to Mississippi is in Wisconsisn, and none have ever dispersed this far south. There are no wolves in Mississippi, and none anywhere that 'run' with coyotes.
