Re: Knife for my dad for Christmas

The Cutco with the double d edge is amazing and it is available with a gut hook also. I send it back to them to sharpen right before the season and it will last all year. They say free sharpening for life but by the time you pay for shipping and insurance back and forth it's about $15. I usually get...

Re: GOP primaries may not be over yet...

I usually don't post much on here but any Mississippian that thinks we need that idiot from Booneville in office really needs to rethink their feelings. Childers openly told a group from ABC (Associated Builders and Contractors) that went to visit him the last time he was in Washington that he would...

Re: Red Snapper fishing

It an absolute shame for the coast and the charters. I have been fishing them on my own the last 5 years and if we don't have a fish on within one minute of dropping we know our bait is gone. It was that on all five reefs I fished last week. I pray someone does something for the sake of those that m...

Re: Back's out again-update-still in pain

The Chiropractor is going to tell you it's fools gold. Go read the reviews on Wal Marts web sight of their most popular selling table. Half of them paid for the table in a few weeks because they no longer needed the $50 a week chiropractor. I had been told to get one several times over the years by ...

Re: Back's out again-update-still in pain

I understand all this to well. Wife getting you dressed, can't pick your feet up more than a couple inches, trying to sleep with pillows propped under your knees, pain down the back of the leg all the way to the toes ect..... I've been dealing with it for almost 8 years now. I've had the block shots...

Re: Orange Beach/ Gulf Shores Best Eats

Ben's Blackened Tuna at Shipp's Harbor grill is my personal favorite. My other favorites are Cobalts, Cosmo's, Louisiana Lagniappe, Shrimp Basket for raw oysters, and Live Bait. I'm not a fan of Big Fish.

Re: Recreational Snapper fishing is almost done!!

It is the biggest bunch of BS I have ever seen. I've been going out for 4 years now at least eight trips a year during the month they have been so graciously giving us. I can tell you one thing there is no shortage of snapper on the 10 or so holes I fish. Hell you can't catch anything but snapper. T...

Re: Crossbow Info

Due to back problems I bought a crossbow last year. I went with Ten Point. They have a real good reputation and seem to be well built. I also personally like the winch system for drawing the crossbow rather than manual. A 50 yard shot is routine with mine. Also you can hunt out of a shoot house. I w...

Re: Frozen pipe question

I would cut the water off at the meter and cut it on after it get warmer and hope that nothing busted. Watch your meter when you turn it back on to make sure there is nothing leaking.

Shane Roten duck call

I have a good friend that dad gave him a Shane Roten call about fifteen years ago. He has had several "good callers" try to tune it but no one seems to be able to. His dad passed during a knee replacement surgery just before Christmas and he is really wanting to get the call tuned so he ca...

Re: Deer processor in or around Tupelo???

+1 on Stanphill's. They have to be the cleanest processor in the state. I would almost eat off the floor and I'm not kidding. They make really good link sausage (cajun and green onion are my favorite) and summer sausage. I've used them for six years now with no complaint. I have a friend in Tupelo t...

Re: Ballistic tips for big game

This is just my personal experience. I have used the Winchester 300 wsm 150 grain ballistic tips for the last 6 years in Colorado. I have killed 9 elk with them and not one has ran more than 25 yards. Also of those nine, five never took another step. They are devastating in my opinion.

ADS guide south LA

I was wondering if anyone knew a good duck guide around Bayou Dularge south of Houma, LA. I'm thinking about doing a duck hunting and red fishing trip in January. I have a fish camp down there just never tried the duck hunting. It doesn't have to be Dularge it could be anywhere in that area.
