Re: Potential is there, but my aim sucks really bad!

Full choke with steel is probably blowing holes in your pattern, too. The modified will be better. I shot the worst round of trap this morning. I was over-thinking and trying to guess what the wind was going to do to each target instead of keep in eyes on the target. Once I went back to that 'basic'...

Re: Where is Anatidae?

Naw - I don't 'do' Facebook. Like me or not.....really? Thanks for asking. It's been a crazy year. We went from 1 dog to 1+9.......then were going to only keep one puppy, then after raising these pups for 7 weeks, I started having regrets about not reserving one for myself. 2 days before taking 3 pu...

Re: played a new game yesterday morning...

I'm bad to leave the ramp/gate pin (just one side) on the fender while I tie the 4-wheeler down.......and drive-off.

I've been lucky though.....lost/found it two different times in 3 weeks. I've since painted them blaze orange.

This ^^^

FB decoy movement only suggest the bird can't decide whether to turn right or left to get the next bite. Equivalent of the Hokey Pokey.

Re: The Old Point System Reserch

One of the most interesting (and controversial) reg. changes was adjustment of shooting hours to official sunrise. This was done to help the Black Duck population - i.e. supposedly putting more light on the birds so Black Ducks could be distinguished from Suzies. It lasted one year.......and I'm not...

Re: new proposed limits for south america

Do the now restricted limits (not sure when they go into effect), put a damper on the south America trips as far as clients go? I think it does for me somewhat. It at least moves the trip further down the list. Were the duck kills from hunters getting out of hand and hurting the populations? Does e...

Re: Ask DS: What is TOO much motor?

I wouldn't do it, myself. ⋅ Hull is too light - motor too heavy ⋅ hull too thin - stump stress with that much weight that far back (under the back seat) translates to metal fatigue at the cross ribs = leaks = welding after every season is over - every season ⋅  control ...

Kenny Fulgham - I believe he actually lives in the Maben/Mathisto/sturgis triangle. Contact Bell Bldg if you can't find a number for him. He stays pretty busy though.

Re: Ask DS... Which brand decoy?

I don't have any firsthand experience with Higdon battleships. My thought about them is: they would be no heavier than Dakotas. My wife bought some Dakotas a couple of years ago. We used them for a while and went back to the G&H Magnums we've had since 1995. Here's why..... ⋅ Too heavy...
