Re: Interesting timber article

AGFC did a good job laying out the reasons for the changes they're going to make. The higher water levels have damaged a lot of habitat. More natural (lower) water levels will make for some interesting times in the public woods. Most of the folks over there like to drive the boat to the hole they're...

Re: Time to Rate the 2016-2017 season

Nyssa If you hunt public land, hard work can lots of time (most of the time) be the difference between killing or not. Whether that means being first in line for the 4 am rule, watching the ducks and learning where they want to be or making a death march to get away from the crowds. I think champ w...

Re: Time to Rate the 2016-2017 season

After nearly dying this past April from a massive heart attack, I'm thrilled to have had a season. I relished the chance to spend more days afield with my sons and my friends this winter. I've learned not to take these days for granted. As we've all seen over the past month, you don't know when you'...

Shotgun Sights

I'm sure this has been kicked around but my search was ineffective.

I'm building a 20ga for woodland hunting and been thinking about a reflex sight. What says the DS brain trust?

Reflex or quality front/mid bead set?

Re: Thoughts on hunting ND

Don't know much about it but I'd like to make a combo upland/duck trip this year or next. If you decide to go and need some folks to make a group, let me know.

Re: Duck Band Rules

Glad somebody told the dude to grow up. What were they thinking when they hatched that idiotic band distribution system in the first place? I love to hear the thought process behind that one!

Re: Dixie Chopper mowers

Don't know anything about that brand.

I've had both residential and commercial types. The commercial mowers are worth the extra $ and it's not even close.

Get the 50" cutting deck or bigger for 2 acres.

Re: RIP Mr Goodtime

I met Mike at Enid one morning last year during the "Crankfest" last summer. He was kind enough to take me out and teach me how to pull cranks. That was one of the best fishing trips I've ever had, and not because we caught a bunch of fish. Mike was just a fantastic dude and willing to sha...
