Re: anyone built an AR platform rifle

Information on barrel changes and go/nogo gauges: http://www.shootingtimes.com/reloading/change-rifle-barrels-in-minutes/ This is on a Savage bolt action rifle, but similar on other sporting rifles that have a threaded barrel. Rebarreling isn't necessarily a gunsmith required task, IF the barrel is ...

Re: anyone built an AR platform rifle

I was relating the AR to rebarreling a rifle that has a threaded barrel, but this helps clarify things on my part. I'm learning the AR stuff every day. :D I ordered a Daytona Tactical upper in 300BLK, BCG, and charging handle for $375.90 shipped. Figured I'd give them a try. MAS Defense was in the $...

Re: anyone built an AR platform rifle

I went from zero AR rifles to two lowers in a matter of 3 weeks. I bought a blemished stripped Aero Precision lower from Rocky Mounting Reloading around V-Day for $56 delivered to my FFL. Then I bought a complete Anderson lower from a guy in Baton Rouge who mailed it to me via USPS (no FFL). I bough...

Re: Ceiling Height?

From a sheetrock perspective, 9ft would be the max. You can get 54" sheetrock and still only have one in the wall. 10ft+ and you have multiple seams in the wall that all get finished, so your increasing the finish time. 9ft can be finished in the same time as 8ft, because you still have one sea...

Re: Zero - turn Mower

I purchased a Bad Boy 60" from the tractor store in Richland on 49. It is the commercial model and not the tractor supply model. I do not have the bagger but after two seasons, I am very pleased with it. Also, they have a parts and service dept on site. I've seen these at TS and have been impr...

Re: Depression Question

Get help in anyway possible. Does the person have family that can talk to him? Best way to do it is bring it up as casual as possible. If there is a family member that he talks to, talk with that family member and see how much it progresses. I've been through depression and it is nothing fun. Famil...

Re: light bars on trucks question.......

This may be it. http://law.justia.com/codes/mississippi/2010/title-63/7/63-7-17/ Very possible, but these would not be Auxiliary Driving Lights, nor Head Lamps. Light bars would be off-road lights. MS law does not seem to cover offroad lights like some other states do. Some state laws clearly state...

Re: light bars on trucks question.......

so does that mean lexus ( or infinity, Can't remember) vehicles with the led strips with roughly 8-12 bulbs in each headlight are illegal? those are factory oem but would definitely have more bulb than the way that law reads. They are legal because they are DRL (daytime running lights). Most of tho...

Re: light bars on trucks question.......

I know there are states that have law/s on the amount of forward facing lights that can be on at one time, but that does not limit the number that can be installed.

Covers may be the ticket, but even then the lights are for "off-road" use.
