Re: Freezing Shrimp

Freezing shrimp is like freezing vegetables. Depends on how much work you want to do once you defrost them for use. You can dehead, peel, and devane then freeze if you want. That way you go straight to cooking when you defrost them. More work upfront for less work at the time of use. We dehead and t...

Re: Launched the Boat, Used The Truck As An Anchor

Wipers were funny, but why in the hell did he stay in the truck so long to where he had to bust the back glass out to get himself out after going under?!?!?!?!?!?!

I do agree though, sitting at a boat ramp is some of the finest free entertainment a person can find.

Re: HP Plotter help...contact info

I'm trying to take some old wood working plans and create CAD drawings from them so that I can reprint as needed and protect them. The plans are the ones that are full scale and you trace out the pattern onto the wood. Problem is some of the patterns are front and back on the pattern so you end up w...

Re: Any interest....

For those that leave their camera in their truck, what do you do to protect against the heat? I've often thought about leaving mine in my truck, but worry about the heat causing any problems.

Re: HP Plotter help...contact info

No help on the plotter, but anybody know anything about digitizers?

I'm looking at a 20x22 roll up GTCO digitizer on ebay, but don't know if the software that comes with it will communicate to AutoCAD.

That is normal. The PM stays in your Outbox until the PM is read by the person you sent it to.

Re: Water in fuel tank question

drain the tank, drain the carb, might want to pull the spark plug boot off the plug and blow it out with air. Check your oil to make sure no water got in through the vent tubes.

Re: Holding kids back in 8th grade for sports?

8th grade is very tough socially for a child. They have already been with the same group and if held back, they will be the new kid on the block. They may take a liking to doing things just to try and fit in with the new crowd. I would agree in that hold them back in K instead of 8th grade. Granted ...

Re: Crawfish thread

Coming from a coonass in South LA, the old pour salt on crawfish to purge is just wasting salt. To purge crawfish, it takes time (read days) and lots of freshwater circulating to flush a crawfish. Now, one thing that I cannot stand in a sack of crawfish is twigs and bait. That shows that the crawfis...

I'm not a runner much myself, but I like to cycle. I'd much rather ride a bike than run. Maybe give cycling a try? I'm not the best for as health being I've been called a hummingbird a time or two, but I have never understood when people say don't eat breakfast. Also, I've never understood when peop...

Re: Building a house... Builder vs sub it urself

Whether it is your time or their time, time equals money. If you have the time, you can save the money. If you do not have to be moved in by a certain date, then building yourself is an option. If you need to be moved in by a certain date, then sub it out. I think most construction loans from banks ...

Re: Sticker spray

I use Scotts Southern Weed and Feed and it kills the little stickers. My Aunt and Uncle next door don't do anything and their yard is full of them. My daughter got caught a couple times barefoot going from our yard to their yard. She stopped quick once she got in their yard.
