Re: Exotics....
Your pics bring back some memories. Lived in Homestead a few years back in the early 80s. Although I don't remember any exotics, I can remember my dad taking me fishing in several of those canals down there. Spent a lot of time at Pennekamp state park. Thanks for sharing.

Re: Caribbean vacations
You aren't supposed to tip at Couples. As a matter of fact, their employees are instructed not to accept them and are supposed to get in trouble if they get caught. That being said, I've heard people say that they have tipped there (but I never have.) The only people you are expected to tip are the ...

Re: Elk Hunting
Usually hunt the uncompahgre plateau, but my elk partner has work project during archery season this year. First time in 7 years I won't be headed west, and I'm already missing it.

Re: Caribbean vacations
If you are into the all inclusive thing, Couples swept away in negril Jamaica. Food and drink are both excellent. As mentioned for most of the all inclusive in Jamaica, it's about an hour and a half from the airport. On my trips down there the wife and I have met dozens of people that have been to o...

Re: Residential shop/metal building
dukhntn, What did you ever do? And, if you don't mind me asking, what did it cost you. I am looking at a 30x60 slab, 20x40 building with wrap around porch on 3 sides. But I may make it a little bigger as I know I'll fill this up quick. Edit: After re-reading a bunch of posts on here, I have already...

Re: Truck talk
03 gmc z71: Power steering pump issues, steering shaft issues, had to rebuild transfer case (use 4x4 half dozen times a year), radio issues. I can't remember if I had the instrument cluster problem on this one or not. Sold it with 120,000 miles and upgraded to a 2011 tundra. 09 Acadia slt2: Power st...

Re: Truck talk
I'll never own another GM if I can help it. Love my tundra. 110,000 and it still feels like new. Everything is still tight, no squeaks, plenty of room in the cab, good power. Before I went up a tire size and put 10 ply on, I was getting 17-18 (which from what I understand was above what most folks g...

Re: Butterfly Cakes
I'm not so sure about you Mississippi boys but up here in Tennessee everyone loves to have some Christmas tree cakes in the duck blind during duck season. I stumbled across the spring time equivalent to Christmas tree cakes the other day. I'm motion that we make butterfly cakes the official snack o...

When is the deadline for decision time? I've got a couple of weeks when I will be away from any sort of technology and won't be able to update roster.

Re: Residential shop/metal building
I'm looking at a a 30'X40', 1 roll up door, 1 walk through door, and a 20'x12' lean to on one side. prices range from $14,500 to $21,000 (includes concrete). I'm waiting on one other guy to call me back before I pull the trigger. This is for an enclosed pole barn, not anything fancy.

Re: Residential shop/metal building
a Friend of mine here in forest can get you a smoking deal on a pole barn. He buys old chicken houses and takes them down and builds hay barns and all types of buildings. He will re-use the old trusses and some lumber but can put you all new metal on the sides - really he can do what ever you need ...
