Re: Thanks Mr. E!!

That combination in some 30 year old mahogany from a gone out of business lumber co. is throwing some great sounds with the Saluda Co. Walnut it is paired with. It has some fine Chatoancy, Luster, Glimmer, what ever you want to call it.

Roll a bunch,

Do you use truo for your boxes? Mike, on the hunter models I use a satin deft laquer. On a Top Hat model like this one that ...

Re: Last one from Mr. E for a while

The call in the above photo's happens to be mine. I had been on Mr. E's waiting list for quite a while and it is the 5th call he has made for me. I have not gotten a call from him that didn't sound fantastic but, this little jewel is without a doubt the best sounding box call I have ever put my han...

It will be a little while before I get back in the shop. My eye pressure has gone way up and they are sending me to a specialist. Cannot be aroun...

Re: Crotch on Crotch Walnut Turpin from "Scout"

that's a fine looking call, Mr. E(as usual)....if it talks as sweet as it looks, it's going to be turkey calling machine.... Chip, It has a lower raspy hen left that is smoother than the right raspy hen that will definately turn his head. It has all the soft talk with a proud gobble. I have only wo...

Crotch on Crotch Walnut Turpin from "Scout"

Here is a Turpin that I just finished up for my Grandson Cooper's Vest. He is 5 and it won't be much longer before he will be pulling the trigger. He went on his first hunt with my son and I this year. The darker crotch walnut was given to me by a callmaker friend Tom Crook in Hatley, Ms. He got it ...

Re: The Drum

I worked a bird about 6 years ago down in Homochito. He gobbled about 9:30 way up on the ridge top. Only problem was, I was down at the creek. I was not about to climb up that hogback. I told myself if he came, he was going to have to come down to me. He answered a few calls and hung up about 80 yar...

From the Vest of Josh Criswell

I sold this call to a young experienced Miss. turkey hunter a few years ago. I saw his post on Facebook a couple of days ago and asked him he minded me sharing it. The caption on the picture was "He played us like a fiddle this morning. I wonder if they are keeping score also?" Great pictu...
