are you sure that motor is gravity fed? mine has a fuel pump which is built in underneath the right hand valve cover. but im running a 25 kohler so im not exactly sure about your 9. is your gas tank on top of the motor or do you have a seperate tank in your boat?

I just bought an extrema 2 and had the same question on barrel length. Beretta told me that there is no difference between the 26 or 28 barrel except the sight plane. they said a 28 might help you aim a little better but the powder burns 20 inches out inside the barrel so it really is just preferenc...

you could also consider putting a jack plate on your transom. that is what you were trying to overcome by the suggestion of 2x4's. just a thought?

yeah i've done it before. we use 5 gallon bucks with lids and punch holes in the sides. We also dump a bunch of molases on top of the potatoes. We usually nail the bucket to a tree. After that stuff starts coming out, WHATEVER it gets on ducks will eat. We usually call it sweetening up a hole.

I hunted in Reggio opening weekend on my lease. It was a blue bird day both days, birds flying real high, not responsive to a call. Shot a hand full of ducks all weekend, (teal, greys, summer mallards). Can't wait for Arkansas and Mississippi to open.

There is a boat that i used when i was younger and hunted in the cypress called a Ganoe. We put 10hp briggs on them and they rolled with two guys and gear. Its like a flat back canoe, that may be something to check into.
