Re: Federal Land acquisitions / bad idea?

On the other hand - In the mid-1970's there appears to have only been one NWR and the NF - ie, not much public access to delta land. In the past few years, a certain NWR has obtained ~10k new acres that are now mostly available to hunt plus it has allowed hunting on other acres that used to not be o...

Deer camp operator/owner not liable for kid's death

I was recently asked by a friend to sign a waiver for my children and myself to hunt and/or visit their club. That reminded me of a lawsuit at the Mississippi Supreme Court that I had heard about a while back, but just now found that it had been ruled upon in January. The case involved a terrible si...

ADS - mosquito yard spray - what chemical is used?

Brain trust -> What chemicals are the mosquito companies spraying in back yards? Is it restricted and if not, where do you get it? I bought the indoor roach spray for about $20 for several years' worth of coverage instead of the quarterly $50+ fee and wondered if the same could be done on mosquitoes...

ADS - land levelling costs

Approximately what are people charging (time/per acre) for small land levelling jobs in the south delta? We have a portion of a duck hole that is about 13 acres, there may be a 12 inch variance from high to low, and we are thinking about being able to plant rice effectively. Thanks.

Re: More info on the Off Duty Cop from Chicago

From your take on it - Was the cop pretending to get his wallet out while drawing? What was the cop's left arm doing - distracting/blocking the other gun/other?

ADS - Select baseball questions

I’m looking for opinions/thoughts from those of you whose sons have progressed through select baseball from 7U through junior high and/or high school. Obviously, the level of play is better depending on what level you are in and kids vastly improve the more they play. I presume there is a fine line ...

Re: Hunting License Question

This doesn't make sense? So after the season let's say a photographer wants to set up and just take pictures of the birds...he needs a license ???[/quote] After the season you are not hunting and don't need a license. My understanding is that if the CO wants to be a jerk with someone on a hunt but n...

Re: Hunting License Question

Not a CO here, but he can go as long as he does not assist on any manner in the hunt - can't put decoys out, can't call, can't tell you ducks are coming, etc. He's just bird watching.

ADS - duck call recommendations ~$100

If you had some money burning a hole in your pocket, what duck call would you buy or suggest to buy? I hope not to spend over about $100. Mainly open fields, some timber. Thanks.

Re: Morton Man arrested for carry a gun at school

Sounds like he talked to his attorney before he talked to his mother and/or possibly the attorney drafted the mother's post - if so, good job: § 97-37-17(6) – It shall not be a violation of this section for any person to possess or carry, whether openly or concealed, any gun, rifle, pistol or other ...
