Anyone using them for duck hunting in fields? Just wondering how they do and hold up? Pros and cons. Thanks in advance.

Re: please clear this up

My understanding is that the early primitive weapon season (Nov 7-18) is the only one that you have to use a "primitive" weapon (i.e; smoke pole or 45/70, 35 Whelen, 444). This is private land only & doe only. The other 2 primitive weapon seasons are "weapon of choice" (i.e;...

Millenniums are my favorite loc on and ladder stand too. I have a summit climber that I like. It's not a viper it's the bigger one. It's not light but is very comfortable. Is this the "classic" that is Steel not aluminum? This one? http://www.dickssportinggoods.com/product/index.jsp?produ...

Re: Talk me into or out of a 2500HD

With all the incentives they have on the 2016 2500s the price is almost the same as the 2017 1500. Not sure I am going to get one but I was impressed with the one I test drove over the weekend. For same price you are getting a lot more truck with the diesel and the resale is much higher on them too.

Re: Talk me into or out of a 2500HD

I have a 2015 duramax. The ride is better than the older models but still not as good as a 1500. Mileage is better also. You will average about 18-19 mpg if you keep the stock tires on it. Parts are higher if you have problems but yearly maintainance isn't much more than a gas burner.

Re: Ask DS- LED light bar for SxS

Rigids are very good. But they are also very expensive. There are many cheaper light bars and they are all very bright. I have had condensation in my cheaper ones and a couple of bulbs go out but for the money you can just buy a new one every year or two and still come out way ahead.

Re: Crossbow deals at delta outfitters!!!!

I bought a mission crossbow for my son from delta outfitters a couple of years ago. Also had my bow serviced there before. Very good people to deal with.

Re: New atv

If you planning on going thru any mud I would upgrade the tires. Mud tires make a big difference over stock ones. Agree with everyone on the winch. I like a drop basket rack on the rear also.

Re: How Do You Start?

You will definitely make some mistakes. Like everyone said best thing to do if you can is get someone to go with you. If not you will learn the hard way lol. You don't have to be a great caller to call a bird in. Get you some videos to watch. My biggest mistake was always trying to get too close. Th...

Re: UTV suggestions

I have a viking and like mine so far. The only negative i see so far is it is a little louder than the other models. but there are some things you can do to quieten them down. I would have considered the pioneer 700 if they would have had a low range. The 1000 should be nice I haven't seen one but t...
