Re: Bucks dropping antlers now??
Same boat your in MRDUCKS. I too like to shoot ours early, but we have to shoot them early and often to keep numbers in check. I had a buddy shoot "a huge doe" Sat afternoon that turned out to be a 3 and 1/2 year old buck that had already shed. Disappointing to say the least. We might just...

Re: Flooded ranger, need help ASAP
Thanks for the help guys. Was able to get the info I needed from this site in the field Friday afternoon. Great group of guys and spot on advice. We pulled the plug to the belt housing and was able to limp back to the trailer. Probably could have continued to use it all weekend but with water in the...

Re: Deer Hunting in Southwest MS?
Like ntz said, river clubs are good but most are buy in or have a laundry list of folks on waiting list. Very good hunting, very expensive. Don't rule out Concordia, catahoula or tensas parishes in LA. Good hunting over there as well.

Flooded ranger, need help ASAP
So we drove the Polaris ranger through about 3 ft of water for about 300 yards and it lost power. It stayed cranked but wouldn't go. We got out and pushed it to dry land. It cranked right up but sounded like it was bubbling in the engine. It acted like it was going to go but wouldn't. Then it cut of...

Re: Natchez ms
Several bed and breakfast places are nice. I'm a big fan of Monmouth. Seems there was a b and b place that was offering a turkey hunt for the guys and a spa day for the ladies at one time. Historic tours, 2 casinos.. Try Roux 61 south of town for good grub and hit Fat Mamas for magaritas. They also ...

Re: My Daughter first deer
Several years ago I got caught up in the big buck saga and it almost ruined deer hunting for me. I know the feeling. I've about sworn off hunting shows and checking forums b/c I feel I have unrealistic expectations when it comes to hunting my own property. I haven't killed a buck in 3 years with my...

Another first deer...
Congrats to all the young guns who have been lucky in the past week or so. Looks like quite a few kiddos got their first one on the board so I figured I'd post my son's first deer story as well. Heart break, disappointment, grief. These are just a few of the emotions we have felt since our last meet...

Re: Polaris Ranger 500 Crew
We've got one. Love it. Had the 700 single cab prior and this one will do everything that one did with no problem. Haven't noticed the decrease in power. Hunting south delta mud and water. No complaints, highly recommend. Good luck with your purchase.

Anybody going after them tomorrow? Think I might skip the mid 80 degree sit in the deer stand and try to shoot a few. Anyone seeing any big migratory flocks down?

Re: Chuck's in Rolling Fork
Thanks guys. Stayed at Rolling Fork Motel several times last year and felt safe but was just curious if chucks was any nicer. I will vouch for the double bacon cheeseburger, chili cheese fries and a rootbeer float after the hunt. Food has been quality every time I've eaten there. Hard to beat Chuck'...
