Re: Spraying weeds
All of the above are correct about not spraying some of the herbicides I mentioned earlier for bermudagrass on St. Augustine. I got on the bermudagrass train after reading Wingman's post and wasn't thinking about St. Augustine. Manor (metsulfuron) is very good for controlling many broadleaf weeds in...

Bermuda may slightly discolor for a few days after full rate of Drive but will recov...

Re: Lawn care
Kind of on topic, but what is a good summer weed pre-emerge available to Joe Schmoe? I talked to my Uncle who used to have a license, and he said all the stuff he knows of is regulated but that he doesn't know that much about what might be available at your local Co-Op. Thanks. I've got some Simaze...

Re: Beggar tick control
The aquacide label says that plants in the Cyperaceae family (sedges) are tolerant to this herbicide, which includes Cuban bulrush (Oxycaryum cubense). Soooo, my opinion would be that this herbicide would not kill Cuban bulrush. Not sure about the beggars ticks. I would think that a 2,4-D product li...

Re: Bermuda in young hardwood trees.
i would think a wick roller or hooded sprayer would do a good job with a gly and or D product. if its that grown up in other stuff, mow it down and chop it real good. i know prowl and such will not kill but stunt it and make it stack the nodes which will make it even thicker and suppress seed heads...
