Re: Corn Pile

I found a corn pile so big once that it showed up on Google earth. Seriously. Sunflower county. They must've taken the picture the year before or something but it was on there.

Re: Seed ID in mallard craw

I could talk to you for days about the truths in that post. I find that wildlife law enforcement is like mowing grass when it rains every week. Just when you think you have it all cleaned up, more grass is growing where you just came from. Sometimes it's old grass regrowth, sometimes its brand new g...

Re: Seed ID in mallard craw

Rice has a ridge down the side of it. That's what I think I see in the photo. Oats will have a crease, not a ridge. Re: Seed ID in mallard craw

That would be rice all right. Sounds like we need a bear in the air over there.

They think if they drive all the way up here and pay license fees, then they are going to go home with something, legal or not. ...

Re: Out of state hunters

Well I rode through a certain NWR outside of Yazoo City the other day and went down the levee and saw a total of 12 vehicles. I was explaining to my buddy riding with me, that when we pass these trucks I will bet most if not all of them are from the coast. Well out of the 12 trucks we saw a couple ...

Burndown or potash.

They don't fly back and forth all day just for kicks. Costs too much to crank them up.

I've read that the Red Wolf will crossbreed with the coyote. We used to have Red Wolves here.

Re: Duck Numbers

I think the duck survey is flown 4 times each winter. However Corn Patrol flies every day before and after lunch. Stay straight down there. ;) Whether or not they actually fly twice a day or not, it's a shame they (MDWFP, USDA, USFWS) spend money on "things" whatever they be, yet they don...
