Re: Had a helper on the duck blind construction

Timber rattlers really are easy going for the most part. People kill them all the time simply because they can.

Watersnakes on the other hand. They'd just as soon bite you as look at you.

Re: Sky Lake

Non existent. The water level will go from 0-15 in a year. Mud cats and gar are about all you'll catch. It might be 2' deep right now.

Before they channeled out Wasp Lake and put a levee across it years ago, with a box that holds the water at 95', I am told the crappie fishing was excellent.

Re: Jap Millet

Don't kill grass to plant millet this time of year.

That's the equivalent of dumping a cooked steak in the trash because you want to cook another steak on the same coals that are burning out.

Re: Soybeans??

Have enough time for what? To make beans, no. They take about 120 days for that. To make green little tasty leaves, yes.

Re: yellowstone in the winter

I stayed in the Motel 6 in Jackson Hole. Cheap and one of the cleanest places I've ever stayed. Snowmobile tour up to Old Faithful was 80 miles and so much fun. Then you have the Elk Refuge that will blow you away. We drove it. 27 hours. But the bighorns on the Elk Refuge will lick the salt off of t...

Re: Life jacket question

Mustang MD3183 Checked tons of boats over the holiday weekend. One guy had to move all of his stuff off of the front hatch, open the lid, and then extract a tackle box that was the same size as the hatch hole to get to his PFD's. When he put them back he put all of the PFD's in there and the box on ...

Yes. Mine stays either in the boat or truck. Heat and humidity never have affected mine. I am told the older ones had problems though.

Re: need fill dirt and electrical around Louise

Well, Randy can't right now. His lowboy ramp fell across both legs about a month ago. But, I think he has some guys working for him that are hauling dirt.

Re: Life jacket question

We have to wear our auto inflate pfd's anytime we are in our work boats. Kept me from getting drowned by a drunk one night in Lake Ferguson. As soon as we hit the water, it inflated. Once you get used to wearing it, it's really not a bother. Heck of a lot cooler than a big pfd with buckles. We also ...

Re: Life jacket question

The law says "readily accessible". Most of the time I see them jammed under all kinds of junk in a seat storage that someone is sitting on. I sometimes see them still in a package all wrapped up just as they came off of the shelf. Like Smoke said, it usually takes a while for folks to find...
