Re: Dredging of tallahatchie

I wouldnt want to get caught poaching on buzzard, we farm land that joins it and gets flooded by it, Strider( my bosses 1st cousin) and Dunavant will break someone from the poaching habit in a hurry, and no, even when the river is flooded you can not hunt buzzard with out permission, actually now t...

Dredging of tallahatchie

I doubt anyone is advocating that ag does not contribute to sediment loads. I just think its counter productive to lead off a comment or discussion with a blanket statement that doesn't account for a lot aspects of the topic. There are a lot if folks working to improve this issue. Once you become so...

Re: Tryin my hand

Why did you spray Volunteer w your Roundup? Ain't no budget on a food plot. We have put soybeans in grass in a few spots. The 1st year is wooly. Second year you'll beat a lot of the grass. The third year you can get a nice canopy which will really set the Bermuda back for good. Ill do a big +1 on t...

Re: Those in the know: New Old Style Daisy Cutters- True?

Jeez I have two of the full scroll ones. I may need part with one if folks are so infatuated with them  You may want to. They are selling for obcene money right now. I have NO idea why someone would pay this for a CNCed call. https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-A7D6MxYyKto/U9JiTO8I2XI/AAAAA...

Re: METAL SHOP ???'S

Don't make it to small.

Do look into eaves. If your gonna build the "shop" the eaves will make for nice covered storage and whatnot.

Re: Tryin my hand

I kept seedling sunflowers protected from huge deer herds during the 2011 flood with hair. It was nasty and I suited up like an EPA superfund site to apply it. I asked the woman who cuts my hair to save the clippings for a day or two. The deer avoided that field like the plague.

Re: Tryin my hand

Yeah. I had a "helper" operating the 4wheeler. He didn't get the even spreading theory. He was half way through the plot and gave me the hands up signal. There are some thick spots and some thin spots. I'd like a no-till drill one day. Until then it'll be spread. I am pleased with the resu...

I sprayed these almost two weeks ago with Rup and dual. They are clean and growing well. The deer are already feeding in spots.

Good gift for farmer & contractor?

Dunno what your planning on spending...

The small quiet generators like a Honda 1000 are great for all sorts of stuff that farmers and contractors do. Gonna set you back around a grand.

Re: Axe ds: work boots

Ive heard good things about the Double Hs. I've been in carhartt steel toes for quite a while now. They have treated me well. I've been in the same pair for going on three years now. My dad is a red wing guy and he hardly ever has to buy a new pair. Ill probably go the red wing route for a change of...
