Re: A glimpse of our future waterfowling opportunities:
Now that I am so pissed I can’t eat my lunch. Does anyone other than me see how asinine. That statement is : “Since waterfowl draw hunts began in 2002, we have noticed a trend that hunters who were drawn prior to the season were not showing up to fill their hunting permit”. So he admits that the Dra...

Re: A glimpse of our future waterfowling opportunities:
Who is ed penny? Has anyone contacted him directly about their concerns? Ed Penny is the MWDFP Wildlife Bureau Director. And here is a direct quote from him straight off the MDWFP web site. “Since waterfowl draw hunts began in 2002, we have noticed a trend that hunters who were drawn prior to the s...

Wildfowler - consider the source of the information. Wildfowler - consider the source of the information. And I would say back to you consider the source of your comment. Who do you work for? I work for the Military and when we are building plans or looking at gathered information we have to make a...

Re: WMA rules and changes
They defy us because we are insignificant to them. I was at the meeting in Vicksburg and what showed up 30 people. Not exactly blowing the doors of the joint, this year would have been a perfect time to have stopped this, “ you going to do it my way from the MDWFP”, because it is an election year. I...

Re: Aging meat ???
I have an out side fridge. I will buy a whole ribeye and put it in the fridge for 14 days. the trick is to not open the door for the whole 14 day period..........not once dont peek at it or anything......when you take it out trim the dark meat off the edge and it is the most unbelivable thing you h...

Re: Carpet Source
i assumed the large box stores would be cheaper than privately owned places. Not so just had some put in on a rental property, Was going to go thru Home Depot the carpet was a lot cheaper but when you tack on all the extra charges, removal, disposal, ect, ect. it ended up being more expensive than ...

Re: Polaris ranger owners
I just bought a new ride and it was neither. My father and law own’s the Polaris Ranger 1 seater. I looked for weeks at buying both the 1 and 2 seater and the decision came down to the areas I hunt, muddy narrow access trails so I ended up with a Honda Forman with Ancla tires. I would love to have t...

Re: Best Long Range Rifle Cartridge or Round
.30-06 , The original sniper rifle from WWI thru the Vietnam War. Only reason it’s not in use now is due to law enforcement “over penetration”. With the right round it will take down anything on the North American Continent. It’s been around forever so the data you can get will choke a mule. Cheap t...

Re: ethanol vs. real gas
Check with whoever sells bulk fuel in the area. A lot of times they are the only ones who carry it. For anyone in Lincoln County looking for it Buffalo Services on 51 Hwy sells it.

Re: Meetings with the MDWFP
That question was asked at the meeting in Vicksburg. It goes back to the WMA’s but not that specific WMA. The more utilized WMA’s help prop up the less used ones.

Re: Meetings with the MDWFP
Thanks deltaduckman for the link I was not sure who they were and how they were appointed. The way they were talking the other night about people needing a guaranteed place to hunt, and about using computer programs that made it fair for everyone by penalizing the guy that’s been drawn more than onc...

Re: Meetings with the MDWFP
I sat there last night and listened and talked till I was blue in the face. But the one issue that concerns me is why is it so important to the MDWFP that they implement this new draw system? I never felt like I got a complete answer. It felt like to me that they are so dead set on getting this thin...
