I was fishing a Oxbow cutoff from the Ms. River at Thanksgiving and catching 15 to 20 in a 3 to 4 hr. trip. Fish were laying 5 ft. deep around structure and running 2 1/4 lb. to 2 1/2 lb. apiece. Take some metal electrical conduit and weld a bottom frame that fits around the inside perimeter of your boat. This frame should extend from just inside the transom 3/4 of the length of the boat towards the bow. (The front 1/4 of your boat is left open to allow you to set out decoys, tie up boat etc...

I have 2 and would not trade them for anything. They are great in shallow water. Push pole great in shallow areas like cypress breaks. During the summer I mount a trolling motor on side plate in the front and bass fish around cypress trees. Great for tight situations where bass boats cannot get to. ...

My Son and Hunted the Ms. River yesterday. The Water extremely low and had to adapt to ducks on wide open sand flats. A lot of teal and a few mallards. Pulled up a root wad near the water and had a good hunt. 7 mallards, 3 teal. Teal buzzing us every 15 minutes, but waited on the greenheads. No duck...
