Re: booga bottom or crop dustin' delta fools

Wingman just posted his card on FB the other day. Must be something in the air.

Re: Remembering Hardin

I remember this from the last couple of years, but i don't remember who he was, or what happened to him. I din't visit the site for several years awhile back, so it could be that i was on hiatus when he left us.

Re: Sink hole SpringRiver

I saw the video over the weekend showing them with the track hoe. Looked like it was about at its maximum depth getting out far enough to get the job done. Pretty cool to watch. I wonder why they didn't just tie some dynamite to a rope and feed it half-way through the tunnel and blow it. Seems like ...

Re: A little off-season fun

I would imagine it is pretty hard to shoot a pistol at night with thermal gear. It looks like the suppressor pretty much covers up the sights to me. Also, do you catch any grief from the yuppie crowd on Youtube for these videos? I expect some of them view the coup de grace to be a little much. I say...

Re: Muscadine

That's exactly what I did. They had a free book that came with the pack that I got and have been reading up on them. Those blue tubes that they sell make a big difference as well. If you didn't get them, then I recommend you do.

Re: Muscadine

See if you can find some Triple 10. It's a little slower acting and wont burn them as bad, or so i've read. The book that came with mine said 10-10-10 on the first of the month, and Calcium Nitrate on the 15th. Don't do anything after the 15th of July, and don't water after September the 1st i belie...

Re: Muscadine

They are starting to come on now. None of the ones i planted last year died, but several feet at the end of each vine did not put out buds. They started budding early, and then we had that cold snap in March/April that set them back another couple of weeks. I was pretty aggressive with my fertilizer...

Re: Muscadine

I planted some last year. Didn't have a whole lot of room for them, so i just planted 6 plants. Three different varieties that came in a little starter pack. They did really good last year as far as growth, but a good bit of my vines were dead this spring when they started putting back out. I think ...

Re: Help with squirrels in my house

Can you put some wire of some kind over the hole until the contractor gets it repaired properly? What are you doing with them after you have trapped them?

Re: Something of interest

When dove hunting nowadays, I have to go out of my way to pick up dead doves as quick as I can to avoid fire ants. And in the woods, ant mounds are everywhere. I know they say the quail’s demise was due to a variety of factors, but I can’t help but think fire ants were chief among them. I definitel...

Re: Something of interest

Last time I saw quail in the wild was in the late 90’s. Jumped up some on the way to the deer stand. Gave me a good scare. According to my dad, the place that i live on had 20 something separate covies back in the 90's. He said that one year they were there, and the next year they were gone. I've d...

Re: Suppressors, trusts

That is correct. You'll have to pay for the stamp ($200), the suppressor, and then fill out a Form for the stamp. That form will be sent in along with your trust paperwork and then the waiting game starts. I don't know what the wait times are now for the background checks, but my check got cashed ar...
